An effort they are more than willing to undertake. I tend to find it endearing (depending always on context). And it IS correct, if you take their accepted pronunciation of "pasta" into account.
2021-12-20 17:02:06 +0000 UTCAhahaha, yes, I have noticed this too. Brits flatly reject correct pronunciation of foreign words and names. Did it ever drive you nuts how many of them mispronounced Obama? I mean, with the deluge of American media that makes it over there, that takes effort.
