Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.: Together or Not at All [5x07] ✦ Watchalong Reaction & Review

Enoch is truly one of the best side characters we've ever had. πŸ˜‚ So thrilled he can provide some much needed laughter during these stressful episodes.

Looking forward to your comments! Enjoy! [Direct link here.]

Last time Gravitonum was seen was Raina and Quinn took it from Garrett in 1x22. Before that it was introduced in 1x3 when Franklin Hall fell into it after Coulson shot the floor underneath him.

OK, so we get some backstory and depth for Kasius this episode, giving us a bit more insight in him and his family. It definitely shows he's living in the shadow of his family and past events, and does as you mention briefly make it seem like he's not the 'big bad' - though he reasserts himself at the end, and manages to pivot it to his advantage (which seems like his real talent/strength). We get a S1 callback with Gravitonium (and *early* S1 at that) - there was quite a bit of speculation in S4 (before we knew that there would be a S5) that Gravitonium might come back into the story since it had been some time since it was last mentioned. Everyone's distrust of Deke is quite funny, as is FitzSimmons immediately saying to kill him after Daisy tells them he's the one who turned her over to Kasius. It's not totally fair, but you can see where everyone is coming from and why they don't trust him. Ending with Robin on the Zepher is a great way to tie the past to 'present' events - she was definitely young enough to easily be able to live for the 70+ years needed to. How the Zephyr survived though is a mystery at the moment. Enoch is definitely a fun addition to this batch of episodes.
