Two more pages left of this chapter! Can you believe I haven't even started drawing 17? Instead I've been intensely focusing on the script trying to make it as tight and punchy as I can, while also giving a satisfying amount of page time to all our players. There are a lot of characters we won't see again after 17, and I want to give them a good send-off.

There's about a fifty-fifty chance the haunted material can be saved. An Aspect change will expel the ghosts, but it also runs the likelihood of evolving the First Material to a standard material. This is what happened to Uaid a little while ago. He was so damaged that all his living green First Earth degraded to grey, regular dirt. And the spellwork that "haunted" him and made him work, all was ejected. But if you take a haunted Material to a space outside the khert - say, high up in the air where the khert peters out, or into an isolated chamber (which exist at an industrial level, and it's where people try to salvage these items) then the khert is not present to evolve the material, and you may be able to eject the ghosts without losing it. Complicated stuff! :)

So is ghost-infected stuff recyclable or is it like nuclear waste that takes forever to return to a safe, usable state? Also, I now have the Ghostbusters theme stuck in my head every time I see the smoke eels...

No need to do anything more than you already do. Just letting you know your work is appreciated. And thanks for having the courage to share it with the world!

Tony Wilkey

Tony, thank you so much ;_; I will try my hardest for you.

Ashley

Yep! It's an inevitability that pymarics and constructs will end their lifespan with a ghost infection. So they're always designed to be modular and easily disabled by their operator.

Ashley

Is that "battery" located inside the cabin intentionally? As a "in case of emergency, break glass" option?

It is difficult to put into words what an absolute joy it has been following this comic since '10/11. Please take all the the time you need to finish this out the way you desire. I'll be along for the ride no matter what happens and happy to see the tale through. This has been, in my experience, a master class in world and character building with art to match. That is to say, thank you and keep doing what you do best in the way you see fit. No matter how I feel things sometimes should or could have gone, I will always respect and appreciate your vision and talent. <3
