An announcement! I did some retooling this weekend of the rest of our tale, and I decided to end this chapter after one more scene, and add one more chapter after it. Chapter 18 will be our last. It will not be extraordinarily long, but it had actually originally been my intent to spread the end over two chapters. I changed it, thinking the constraint would make me edit things down, but I haven't been thrilled with that decision. I want the space to decompress the finale, and the little bit of a chapter break that will come before that. I feel very good about this decision and it rekindled my excitement for drawing the end. I had kind of been dreading the coming arguments with my inner editor, and the silent bully of that ever-increasing chapter 17 page count, haha.
So yes! We got about 16 pages left of this chapter. Thanks for reading along! Some good pages this week.
