Nary's indeed an evil son of a bitch but that's an intriguing idea he presents. Why would something like Sette wind up in his keeping unless someone really wanted her there? And why would someone really want her there unless it was to become whatever a daughter of Nary Frummagem was likely to become? And if that's the case, how could he NOT try to raise her to be exactly how a Frummagem child ought to be?
Never let it be said that Nary A'Care Frummagem isn't an obedient servant of the gods.

Unsounded is so good at depicting the horror of violence. That shot of Sette hanging there is so casually disturbing. I love seeing Duane and Sette react to each other's evil relatives. It throws into stark relief how much they care about each other deep down, underneath all the squabbling and mansplaining and bullshitting. Speaking of which, Nary and Lemuel should get married. They're, uh, perfect for each other.
