I got my first DMCA π©
Added 2025-06-06 10:55:05 +0000 UTCWell, it finally happened, this morning I received my very first DMCA notice by Google, courtesy of Webtoons (thank you for the milestone, I guess?):
Apparently, the issue (for now) seems to be just the fact that I listed supported websites on the page. According to them, even mentioning sites like these is considered "promoting scanlation websites."
The bad news? This definitely means Webtoons has seen the projectβ¦ and this takedown is probably just the opening move. So, in future versions, Iβll probably give Webtoons the same treatment as Tapas β Iβll remove support from the main program and release an external script instead, just to be safe.
