Lady Ilganyag is ecstatic. All has gone according to plan, even with all the setbacks she's had to work around. She feels like a game master who's taken her very uncooperative group of Walmart employee friends on a great adventure, and now they are through the final dungeon, and the last obstacle awaits, and there's no way anyone, not even these idiots, can screw this up for her.

Roll those dice, m'Lady!

I thought maybe Knock is crediting the lick with keeping the ghosts out of the silver - she did see Sette tear the ghosts out earlier, so it’s not unreasonable to make the connection

Cherenkov

I like that Knock thinks it's Sette's drool that makes her silver doodad slice through ghosts (at that moment somewhere in the Khert, Duane feels an urge to pontificate about the properties of First Materials)

She blames herself for Stockyard and Toby's death (she was in love with Toby), which plunged her into despair. Prakhuta then captured her and used her as a vessel for the Silver when Elka and Toma blew up the wood and flesh golem he'd been using instead. Then he directed Ana here to the Port. It's been a twisted road :) There's been a theme of female existential despair with Ana, too. She became a wright to escape the brothel, and still was subject to Stockyard's creeper advances and threats. When Prakhuta stuffed her full of Silver, she gave up femininity, gave up her humanity, tore her breasts off, and surrendered herself to this brutal nihilism.

Ashley

Same here. I forget how Ana got to this, though. I remember her meeting up with [dammit I'm blanking on his name] Rhyming Crazed Inak at the river, but I've never been clear on how she got so enmeshed. Was she so demoralized by what went down at the brothel that she basically committed suicide by apathy?

Ilganyag is going to be unhappy when she rolls that one she thought her loaded die wouldn't hit.

Mek

What can I say? I admire her bold fashion statement, really wears her guts on her sleeve.

For real though, delighted by how the vile Ilganyag got hold of this weird little ragamuffin from the Sharteshane pits and was like "ah yes, a tiny amoral utilitarian criminal, the perfect tool for my diabolical ends" and then sent her on a wild adventure where she underwent character growth and stuff, and now here at the threshold of glory the kid is like "so hold on, let's talk a little about the Trolley problem, and the principle of unintended effect."

Pull Anadyne's heart through Sette Or Rei will have to do it again

I'm right there with you. I wanna see her plans come to complete fruition - she kinda deserves it... but I also know that it'll probably bring an Age of Dark to Kasslyne :(

Mr. Pak E. Derm

I have no idea how this is going to resolve and that makes me so excited

Traitor! Relationship with Sette ended. Dark!Sette is lu's new waifu.

Lady Ilganyag has vast experience, which works for her and against her. She knows humanity pretty goddamn well, but this leaves her very vulnerable to anything - or anyone - novel. Erratic. Unfortunately for her, our two heroes are about as unique as one can get in this setting. Duane's pretty well sorted, but Sette... Sette... I think you can tell how nervous Ilganyag is with her. Piling on that overwhelming spiel from earlier, threatening her friends, goading her about Sara and Duane, plying her at first with kindly Jacaranda, and even showing off those memories she found of Sette actually Doing The Thing. Ilganyag feels this is it. Sette will perform, surely. She's defeated. Surely.

Ashley

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but damn, it bears repeating. Poor Anadyne...

Rifter

I feel like we've got some crits coming from Sette's gang... and maybe Lady I flubs a crucial moment, even when she's rolling with advantage. I'm wondering if-- besides Duane and Murkoph-- there's anything she forgot...

Madison

Just one more hall that the party has to walk straight down but, unfortunately for Ilganyag, the entire group of players she's dealing with has Roronoa Zoro's sense of direction.

Michael Stakely

Honestly part of me wants to give her the win.
