Prologue Preview Panels

25 page prologue finished as of this week! This will be posted all in one go in January. When I first started Unsounded, I posted the entire first chapter at once, and I've always felt that helped pull people right into the story. But here, have a few panels to chew on until then. They're not spoilery per se, though Sette and Jivi's speculation from the very end of the last book gets confirmed.

The Red Cost's prologue picks up in a Port Morstorben lit a searing orange by a setting mid-Autumn sun. From there we learn Duane and Sette's current circumstances but the bulk of the piece concerns a pair of mysterious skulking strangers well to the north, in Alderode. We'll watch over their shoulders as they engage in a bit - well, a lot - of bloodletting.

These two are Tree and Jaer, darlings of the Tannery, which saw some passing mention in Unsounded. In fact Tree might look a little familiar... Have we seen him before?
