Button Update

Hello all.

Unfortunately, the Rogan podcast appearance kind of temporarily derailed some of our well-laid plans for button mailing. Now that that is behind us, I wanted to loop back and fill you all in on how to get some buttons.

We were going to gather addresses by doing a "Patreon Special Offer," but ultimately, we kind of felt that it was too likely that some people would think that getting a button was somehow tied to money, and that is not the case. I considered a Google form, but that felt weird.

In the end, it appears the best way to do this is to just say, if you want a button, send us your address and we'll get you a button. The primary place to reach out is a message here on Patreon, but if you cannot or don't want to send a message here, you can email us as well. Turnaround may be quicker with messages sent to Patreon.

I also wanted to address the fact that this is something we are mailing out in the middle of a pandemic. That is not necessarily something that everyone is comfortable with, and if you'd like a button, but not now, that is totally cool.

For right now, however, I am taking every step possible to make sure that this is done responsibly. I am disinfecting the buttons and the envelopes before sending them out, and using gloves to be overly cautious. We have not been sick at all, but you can't be too careful in these circumstances, and I wanted to make sure everyone knew that we were not taking the process lightly.
