Weekly Update #155
Added 2021-05-18 05:23:28 +0000 UTCAlright. Whew. A week of The Dungeon Hound and I'm still one chapter away from having the 10-ahead chapters finished. I had a lot of stuff I needed to get done so I took Sunday and Monday off, but I'll get the last chapter finished later today (it's midnight on Tuesday while writing this) and then we're back to having chapters for everything else. Thank you for being patient! I promise chapters for everything else will come out before the week is over.
Once the last chapter for the 10ahead tier is finished, it'll be time to post it to RR and SH which means thinking up a synopsis and all that other not-fun stuff. You know, I love writing, but I hate coming up with synopses.

The Dungeon Hound
Well, I really only have this story to talk about for the week, don't I?
I'm happy with it. I'm positive that there are going to be many people unhappy with the changes to the story, especially those who liked it for the LitRPG aspects and having a slightly edgy asshole MC, but that's alright. I'm way happier with the story now. The characters, the progress, the world--I'm much happier with all of it. Though, I haven't gotten to show off much of the world yet. Both TDH and the tentacle story take place in the same world but are going to be pretty "local" for a while. I guess I need another series with a proper adventuring MC going around exploring everything!
Anyways, the important thing is that everybody is hornier now, Woofen is even fluffier than before, and that the story is no longer so dark with no light in sight. It's much more in line with my other series at this point when it comes to themes and how dark things can get.
There might be a potential problem in that the story is way more likely to get me controversy now from people complaining about bestiality, but I went into the original TQH expecting that, so I'm ready for it. If anything, the more people complain, the more inspired I'll be to make everybody even hornier.
There's also way less of a focus on fighting now. When there is fighting, such as with some of the latest chapters, it's got more "banter" thrown in like with TTE while still having serious action. I like the middle ground I've found there. There's also just way more character interaction in general than before. At this point in the original series, there was Woofen and Elanah. Elanah wasn't even introduced until around the 20th chapter and barely got any time after that for a bit. Then there was Peter and Saylee, but they were killed in a few chapters. Zurie has taken a lot longer for her introduction to TDH than in TQH, but she's also with Woofen now rather than just watching him from a distance until the very end of the volume. Then there's all the other named characters who have been introduced. Overall, there's just way more character focus this time rather than grinding alone in a dungeon.
And focusing on characters is what I do best.
So, I hope that everybody has been happy with it so far! I understand if you don't like it as much as the original, but I hope that you'll eventually come around and enjoy this one even more.
In Closing
One more chapter of TDH for the week. It'll only be for the 10ahead tier, and then the 5ahead and 1ahead tiers will get new chapters alongside the 10ahead tier next week and will continue getting them.
As for all my other series, everybody gets new chapters of those this week!
