Weekly Update #176

Alright. These last two weeks have been very, very busy. Switching rooms around ended up being way more work than I thought it would be. I'm not even exaggerating when I say completely packing everything up, moving somewhere different, and then unpacking everything is less work than having to play musical chairs with three different bedrooms in a small apartment without much storage space.

We ended up having like 19 or so different garbage backs full of stuff that we're throwing out just sitting in the living room taking up space and barely being able to move around. On top of that, we had a ton of different storage containers of stuff to move into different rooms. Then there was the storage unit issue. All of my grandma's old furniture from where she lived before she moved in with us was put into a storage unit we've been renting every single month. Her unit is on the second floor. The elevator next to it was broken down. So, we had to drive three long hallways away to where the next working elevator was. We had to go up the elevator, walk down three seriously-long hallways, load up a couple of dollies, take everything back down the hallways out to the uhaul we rented, and then repeat another two times.

Then there was just all the general issues that come with playing musical chairs with bedrooms. Move all the stuff from one bedroom into the living room already full of garbage bags. Then move everything from one room into the now-empty room. Then move the third bedroom's stuff out, move the first bedroom's stuff into it, then move the third bedroom's stuff, and just blah.

But all of that is over now. I hooked up wifi to my computer's new spot, I'm in a room that doesn't get as hot as my previous room, and most importantly, my girlfriend is living with us now and she's going to be taking care of my grandma during the day which means I no longer have to, which means I can better focus on writing. And during my free time, I'm going to let my girlfriend steal the computer from me so that she can play games, and then I'll finally be forced to actually read since I won't have anything else to do. I should, in theory, become an even better writer if I read more. So, it's a win all around.

Being overall happier and getting out more frequently for dates and all that stuff should also help with my inspiration. So, hopefully, no more drama and whacky schedules. I'll also be forced to stay on at least somewhat of a good sleeping schedule.

14 hours, 11,358 words. Not as much as the last few weeks, but this was the busiest one with getting stuff in real life done. Now I can go back to working a bit more normally.

The True Endgame

This arc here is taking a lot more than I thought it would, but I'm fine with that. I'm having fun with it and it's letting me expand on everybody a bit more. Fenrir gets to chill with Tabitha while the rest of the girls get some more attention through the eyes of Saya.

Ero Dungeon Online

This real life arc will probably have a chapter or two more to go with it and then we'll be getting back in-game! Maybe just one and a half chapters. A chapter with them going on a date in the city, and then half a chapter to sort of summarize them going home and the rest of the chapter being back in-game. Probably with Thera. Or maybe Meadow since she hasn't gotten much attention in a few chapters.

Lazy Dragon Queen

The latest chapters were really fun to write due to the narrator shenanigans that I won't spoil in any there is anybody only on the $1 or $5 tier reading this, but I will say that I may use such shenanigans in the future sometime. But for now... I wonder where Drake is going to end up at?

Dominion Expansion

Honestly, there is so much that I could say about this story, but I've already been talking about it a ton in the comments on RR/SH, on Discord, etc. The general consensus, though, is that--well, it's definitely not being well received. There really are a lot of people who either don't understand or just don't like the Swanson-type of humor that the narrator has, and even more people who are assuming that Clay is some sort of bigoted racist who is in fanatical love with modern America. It's... really not doing too well. Like, it's doing nowhere close to how well I was hoping it would do. I think I really overestimated how many people would appreciate that sense of humor.

In Closing

Busy week, but good week, and things will only get better from here on out now.

Thank you for your continued support, and please look forward to this week's chapters!
