Weekly Update #163
Added 2021-07-12 16:32:56 +0000 UTCSo (ignoring how late this update is), I mentioned it on Discord, but I was going to make a post about updating the tiers on Monday to up the rewards. I was thinking of something like upgrading the tiers so that $1 gets 5 chapters, $5 gets 10 chapters, and $10 gets 15 chapters per story.
There are a few different ways I could do this.
I could just post two chapters per story each week for 5 weeks.
Or I could write all the normal chapters for a week, but also write 1 chapter a day (for 5 days) for a specific story. So it would be like, all the normal chapters + 5 extra chapters of TTE one week. Then the next week would be all the normal chapters + 5 extra chapters of TDH. And just repeat with each story until all the tiers have been upgraded.
Simply double chapters for a few weeks would probably be the easiest and most straightforward thing to do.
As for when I'm going to do this, I was thinking of doing it this week or next week, but I'm probably going to wait a bit until my newest project is up and running. So it might be a while before I even make these changes. Really, talking about them at this point feels really premature now, but I did say on the server that I was going to announce some plans today (when I previously intended to start it this week before thinking about it more), so I wanted to make sure to say something.
I'm also going to try and get enough of my new project written today that I can post it. Because I've realized that I'm a sucker for having my writing read. Maybe I'm just a slut for comments, but I always love getting comments and reading what people think as the stories are going. I still love writing even without getting those, but it makes it more fun and encourages me more when I get that feedback my brain craves.
If not today, it'll be up tomorrow.
I'm just going to wait until there's like... at least a book's worth of content before posting it to RR/SH. So probably like, 60-80 chapters. There's other stuff I can say in regard to it, but I'll wait until I actually post it before going into all of my rambling about it.

The True Endgame
I'm glad to see there's been some positive reactions to the latest TTE chapters because, let me tell you, the kind of balance there's been between slice of life and drama and stuff is what you should be expecting from here on out with the series up until it's over. Though as it was pointed out on Discord, usually, these sort of dramatic chapters are self-contained. There's usually the conflict and resolution tied up within one chapter. You should expect less of that from here on. The plot arcs themselves are going to be focused on drama (with slice of life to give readers a break every now and then--well, and to give me a break) rather than only being single chapters focused on drama.
As far as I'm concerned, we're now getting into the real story of TTE. With Kadi's moments before, we were only ever kind of only dipping our toes into the water to test it out. But with the latest chapter, we've successfully put our entire feet into the water that is TTE's main plot.
Also, there may be some stretches of chapters coming up where Ryouta/Fenrir isn't the main protagonist of them. Of course, he's always going to be the main protagonist of the series, but there will be more chapters featuring the rest of the cast taking on a main character role. Well, in regards to his harem, anyways. I don't have any plans for people outside of the relationship to have any arcs where they're the main character outside of some potential plans for side story volumes that won't distract from the main series.
But yeah. Stuff like Saya being the protagonist of the latest chapter should be expected more often. I'm never going to do anything where you have to go more than like, 5 chapters without Ryouta/Fenrir being the protagonist, though. Probably not even more than 3 chapters in a row without him being the lead. I don't like when stories remove the established main character from the picture for extended periods of time, so I won't be doing that here.
That being said, time to get sweaty when it comes to TTE since there's now a lot more pressure to write it well due to making it to, I suppose you could say, the true endgame. The upcoming stuff is stuff that I'm still not that familiar with writing since I'm so much more experienced with slice of life stuff, but it's always been the goal since starting the series and I'm super excited to reach it. I'm just also nervous since it could be pretty easy for me to mess up.
It is kind of sad, though, that TTE is probably my least read series at the moment. It has a decent amount of readers on both RR and SH, but it's got the lowest views on latest chapters out of all my stories. I'm probably going to wait a good while before ever taking TTE to Amazon. If I wait, that gives me time to build up more of an audience that I can advertise to so that TTE gets read by more people! Hopefully, anyways. I consider it my best story and it's definitely the one I'm most passionate about, so I'll try my best to get it read by more people. Heck, I might even pay for some advertisements if I can afford it once I do get around to self-publishing it.
Ero Dungeon Online
Akorya chapter! And next chapter will be an Akorya and Cani chapter!
You know, every time I write LDQ or EDO, I have to always make sure I'm not mixing up the names. Cani and Cami. Even now I'm not sure if I'm typing the right one for EDO. Let me go check real quick. Alright, whew, Cani is right for EDO. So yeah. We're dealing with Akorya's bully now.
It was fun to go into Akorya's background with that chapter, at least in regard to her family. I should do that for more characters in more stories.
Lazy Dragon Queen
As I just mentioned with EDO, I should go into detail with more characters. Not necessarily in LDQ since the only people with real backgrounds are Drake, Vala, Lake, and Valkyria, but moreso with my other series. I'm just bringing it up here because having Drake talk about his parents sort of triggered a desire within me to write those sorts of things. I did it for Drake, then I did it for Akorya, and now I want to do it for other characters. It's fun going into their backgrounds after spending so much time with them, helping to explain why they are the way they are and stuff.
Next chapter will be RNG time and then another battle!
The Dungeon Hound
I would think that what I hinted at with the latest chapter should be pretty obvious, but we'll see! Anyways, it was fun to write a chapter with the dungeon master as the protagonist, but we'll be going back to Woofen and Elanah next chapter. And it won't be much longer before we get to spend some more time with Zurie. In private, too. Nudge nudge wink wink.
Unlike with the original attempt at writing TQH, I probably won't be giving any Zurie perspective chapters anytime soon. The only way to make those chapters worthwhile would be to basically spoil serious parts of the plot, and I don't really have any intention of doing that. So, no Zurie perspective chapters anytime soon. There probably won't be perspective chapters from anybody else anytime soon. Maybe for the last chapter of this second volume.
The Tentacles' Tavern
I love writing characters in a setting where just... everybody who lives there is nice as fuck. That's probably my favorite thing about TTT. The setting. Just a sky island floating at the edge of the world where everybody is super friendly. That being said, now that our protagonist here knows just how easy it can be to get some new evolutions, you can expect him to be making great use of that information. Just imagine all the different lewd things that can be done by evolving his tentacles in a bunch of different ways!
Of course, that's not the only power he's ever going to have. But going into more detail than that would be spoilers, so you'll just have to wait!
In Closing
I somehow managed to sleep at a normal-ish hour last night, so let's hope that I'm able to actually stay awake today so that I can fall asleep tonight and repeat waking up at a normal hour tomorrow morning. Between having a lot of sleeping issues lately and just general stress from my grandma's condition getting worse, I haven't been doing the best mentally. There's also some personal stuff that's caused me a stupid massive amount of stress and depression, but I'm pretty much over that at this point, so I've got that going for me. Now I'm just back to the normal stuff AKA my grandma's dementia, now with the added bonus of struggling to sleep.
Anyways, that's all for now. I hope that you've all been doing well, and I hope that you look forward to this week's chapters! Now to go and work on that other project I mentioned. But... I do feel pretty tired. I kind of want to take a nap. Ahhhhh but if I do then I ruin my chances of sleeping at a normal hour tonight. Or I at least lessen the chances. This is a tough choice. Maybe I will take a nap, but just a short one. I only slept for like 4 hours last night, so another couple of hours might be able to help me out without ruining my ability to sleep tonight.
