Weekly Update #170
Added 2021-08-29 01:01:48 +0000 UTCTime for your weekly dose of drama!
So, for those masochistic few of you who actually read these weekly updates, you might remember that I've brought up before the whole situation with my grandma involving my other grandparents having a trust for her which stopped us from being eligible for government assistance and blah blah. Well, we finally decided to go to a mediator who would help us get funds from the trust from them... only to find out there is no fucking trust.
They've been telling us for over a year now that they have a trust for my grandma that they can use when her condition deteriorates enough. Because of that trust, we've been working under the assumption that we would be denied any government assistance due to the existence of it since that's a thing that happens.
Well, turns out that's been bullshit. There is no trust. Or rather, there is no trust yet. The way they've set it up is that, when my other grandma dies, all of her remaining money will go into a trust for my grandma. So they're basically saying there "is" a trust, just that it's not active yet and won't be until my other grandma dies.
But that doesn't matter. All that matters is what there is right now, and, right now, there is no trust. So, the funds we were hoping on falling back on when things got bad enough just... don't exist.
Yay.
It's not all shit, though. Because they don't exist, that:
1. means we no longer have to deal with our asshole family
and
2. now we might have a chance of qualifying for Medicaid again when we apply due to my grandma's condition being significantly worse than it was the last time we applied (and got denied). So, we're going to get in touch with a lawyer who specializes in Medicaid and have them fill out the application for us because my mum is afraid of us doing it ourselves and messing something up. Legit, that Medicaid stuff is serious. They don't mess around and even the tiniest mistake can get you denied.
So, that's the plan. Meanwhile, we're still waiting to see if my mum is going to get applied for continued remote work from home.
All of that aside, I got my new glasses I had to spend a stupid amount of money on and I've rediscovered just how high quality the textures on trees are. Pretty nice. I also got another UTI for some reason, but leftover medication from the last one dealt with that. Probably not a good thing that I'm getting them so frequently, though, especially considering that most men go their entire life without one.
That's all for the boring stuff!
Oh, I got another few monster books and stuff for DND. I flipped through them and got so much more inspiration for monsters in my stories, so I'm pretty happy with these purchases.
Too bad my wallet doesn't share my joy.
Now for some memes 'nd things:
That's the only link this week because it's too perfect to post anything else with it.

15 hours, 15,067 words. Over the course of three days. I'm happy about that. I just wish I could do that every single week.
The True Endgame
So, this week's TTE chapter wasn't what I intended it to be last week, but it ended up being what I needed it to be. Honestly, it was basically a chapter that was two halves of myself talking to each other. Tabitha represented one side of my beliefs while Fenrir represented the other. This is mainly in regard to when they were talking about working on what they needed to work on vs working on what they were inspired to work on. The chapter probably isn't going to be all that meaningful or important to other people, but it was important to me and let me work through some things by having the characters debate it. That being said, I thought it was a pretty good chapter in that it also expanded on Tabitha's beliefs a bit to give her some more depth in a way that was still believable and in-character for her, while Fenrir also got to stay in-character despite them both basically representing aspects of myself. I probably wouldn't have written that between any other characters, but it just so happened that I set up last week's chapter to give me time with Fenrir and Tabitha, so I took advantage of that.
Anyways, yeah. Writing that chapter was probably good for my mental health and I felt even better about things lately after finishing it. There's no perfect option to choose when it comes to writing what I'm inspired to write (aka the million and one random series ideas I get every week) vs writing what I need to write (these main 5 stories). Of course, I still love these main 5 stories, but I've been writing them for a while. It's only natural to get inspired and want to go write new ideas. I just have to get myself a good balance between working on what I need to and working on what I'm most inspired to. Because like Tabitha said, the feeling from completing something she needs to complete is just as good if not better than the feeling of starting something you're inspired to start instead.
Ero Dungeon Online
One more chapter to wrap up this volume and then onto the next volume! This latest one was just a fun little thing between Damian and Akorya, and next time we'll have them and Lily with some romance and, of course, some lewds. What better way to wrap up the volume than with romance and sex?
Lazy Dragon Queen
Unexpected new waifu. But of course, every story needs a character who fits that archetype, right? You're not a true weeb story without that sort of character. That aside, I don't really have much to say. I had fun writing that chapter. I'm looking forward to the next chapters, too!
Oh! I know what to say. I'm going to go work on editing the second volume after this post, and I'll be dedicating tomorrow to editing it. I might even be able to get the whole thing edited sometime within the next 48 hours. We'll see!
The Dungeon Hound
Time for a bit of slice of life and worldbuilding in the city and stuff. We'll eventually go back to the dungeon. Eventually. Probably in two chapters or so. Well, maybe three. And once we do get back, we'll be doing plenty of dungeon stuff to make up for the lack of it. After all, gotta eventually get through the dungeon if Woofen wants to spend all his time relaxing on ladies' laps.
The Tentacles' Tavern
New waifu time? New waifu time. It's fun reading and hearing about what some people think she's going to be like. Only time will tell what she actually ends up being like, though!
4X
I was planning on writing more of it this weekend, but I really want to get LDQ's second volume edited, so I'm going to work on that instead. Once I've got the second volume edited and published, I can really devote my extra time to working on getting this story's advanced chapters finished.
In Closing
Time to go edit!
Thank you all for your continued support like always, and your incredible patience with me these last few months. I hope that you all continue enjoying my stories!
