Weekly Update #172
Added 2021-09-14 10:43:18 +0000 UTCApologies for the lack of TTT and TDH this past week. I'll be honest, I just had zero muse for them. I tried writing them both but just ended up staring at the screen, getting distracted, staring at the screen, getting distracted, and repeat. I think I'm going to take a break from them for a couple of weeks while still writing TTE, EDO, and LDQ, and to focus more on 4X because I really do want to move onto a daily schedule for the 4x story.
I actually started writing this weekly update on Sunday night but was too tired to finish typing it. Then I was going to type it up yesterday... and let's just say that yesterday was a really, really bad day. Both me and my mum kind of had a mental breakdown each because it's been a really bad week with my grandma, and yesterday was especially bad since she won't even let us know when she has to go to the bathroom anymore. I don't even think she realizes when she has to go to the bathroom anymore. So as you might be able to imagine, that requires a lot of stressful, disgusting cleaning. Every single day. Me and my mum both just kind of broke yesterday. We're getting my grandma into a nursing home as soon as possible, even if it means paying out of pocket while waiting for medicaid to get approved, because neither of us can handle this anymore and it's absolutely destroying our mental health.
That's part of why I'm really going to be focusing on pumping out chapters for the 4X story for the rest of the month (while still posting TTE, EDO, and LDQ). I believe that, out of all my current stories, it probably has the most potential for boosting my income which I really need to do at the moment. Mainly because it's a litrpg. RR readers really love litrpgs. Once I wake up later today, I'm going to do my best to think of a proper title for it so that I can finally publish it to RR and SH.
Anyways, sorry for the depressing weekly update again, but I do want to try and be transparent with all of you. You're the ones paying me. You're my patrons. You deserve to know what is going on with what you're paying me for.

39 hours, 35,108 words. I'm really proud of my writing output for the week, but this does include all creative writing, including on other projects that are secret. The writing posted to this Patreon is probably around 13k words.
The True Endgame
This is turning out to be a very slice of life volume. Much more slice of life than expected! But I'm having a lot of fun with it, especially with officially treating Saya as a secondary protagonist now. Fenrir just doesn't really have much to do this volume while Saya has a lot to do! And many to do, if ya know what I'm sayin', nudge nudge wink wink.
Ero Dungeon Online
Alright, third volume complete! Onto the fourth volume. I'm tempted to say what the fourth volume is going to start off with but, at the same time, that's kind of a spoiler? Only a light one, but still. I'll resist spoiling it. It'll be fun and something that people have been waiting for, though!
Lazy Dragon Queen
So, I made basically no progress editing the next volume despite really wanting to because I just can't help but to feel like I'm better off putting my time and energy into other projects right now. Even if I get it fully edited and published, the best case scenario is that I make probably $700 or so over the next 6 months, and I wouldn't even get any of the mean I earn from it until a couple of months from now due to how Amazon works. So, I'm just kind of being really lazy with editing the second volume to focus on stuff that will help me take my mind off of needing to make more money.
4X
I've got a lot of faith in 4X to boost my Patreon, especially since it's going to be a daily-updating (I promise) LitRPG series, but I'm also worried it won't actually have much of an effect because of the main character. But that's just a worry. I'm not going to change him even if I know that he would be a much more liked character by making him more generic. It's just going to be a question of whether people can tolerate him or not. Here's to hoping they can! Because if it fails to give my Patreon a significant boost, I'll probably switch it to a weekly release rate or something. Just being honest. I really need to find a cash cow of sorts to milk so that I can just post the fuck out of that daily to lessen the need for money, letting me not feel bad about writing stories that aren't helping my situation at all. As soon as I've got that, I can go back to writing without having to worry about my situation and needing to make more money. That's the whole reason I kept LDQ going originally. LDQ was basically a huge flop in terms of popularity, but I kept it going because I was making enough money from TQH at the time to not need to worry about it. Having one series that makes me a lot of money makes it so that I can relax about all my other series. Here's to hoping that this 4X story helps in that regard!

I plan on posting more of the 4X today, then I'll probably do EDO tomorrow since that's my problematic grandma-watching-all-day-day and I'm the most inspired for it so it should be easy to write even with non-stop distractions all day (I hope), and then LDQ and TTE on Thurs and Fri while still posting more 4X.
