Weekly Update #207

Weirdly enough, I feel like I can't remember last week at all. All I remember is eating old coleslaw which I shouldn't have done and made me feel kind of sick for a few days. But aside from that, I like... just don't remember last week. I don't remember doing basically anything at all last week. I know what I wrote for the chapters, but I can't remember actually writing them.

Anyways, I do remember wanting to try and change my schedule so that I'd be writing DE and EDO on Monday, then both LDQ and TTE on Tuesday. That didn't work at all. I still want to try and move on to that sort of schedule, but it didn't happen last week and probably won't happen this week.

I'll try to do both DE and EDO tomorrow. Yesterday and today have been spent trying to solidify my sleep schedule a bit. Typically, when I try fixing my sleep schedule, it's like... I might go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 6am, but by that point, my body is used to sleeping during the day, so then I end up going back to sleep and sleeping from like 9am to 3pm despite having a full 8 hours of sleep. But yesterday and today, I've managed to stay up pretty much all day despite waking up early, so my sleep schedule is pretty much fixed again.

Of course, it's inevitably going to break again since it always does, but at least I get to stay on it for a few weeks to a few months each time and get to release things way more consistently during it.

12 hours, 10,672 words. Was kind of sick for half the week, so I won't make myself feel too bad over the small numbers, but still want to get more done this week to make up for it.

Time for the rest of the gang to react to what's happened! But more importantly, what's the fate of The Shoebill?

On another note, I've been tempted again to work on TTE's side-sequels. The ones that feature Ryouta's future various kids as the main characters. But every single time I really get in the mood for it, I end up talking myself out of it since a lot of the setting stuff required for the future stories would be spoilers for things that haven't happened in TTE yet. So alas, I'll probably hold back on them again for now.

Ero Dungeon Online

I was talking about it earlier today, but EDO is probably going to come to an end this year. Next volume is almost definitely going to be its last one. At this point, I feel like it's already sort of reaching the end of its lifespan, and dragging it out any longer than one more volume would just be bad both for the story and for my interest in it. So I'm going to do my best to resolve everything within the next volume and give it an ending.

That being said, I might not want to be super smutty all the time, but I'm planning on having another smut ready to go as soon as EDO is over. I do like lewd things, after all. And so long as I still give myself selfish outlets where I can write like I'm some sort of literary snob with an ego full of myself, it's fine for me to also indulge in shameless lewds that exist for no reason other than to be lewd. So, rest assured, once EDO is over, there will be new smut to take its place. More importantly, one of my stories is actually going to get an ending which is a damn miracle at this point xP.

Peanut butter.

That whole sequence with the peanut butter and the implications around it are what I was debating on whether or not to actually include it. On one hand, I just thought it'd be too lewd and making a dog-and-peanut-butter bestiality reference isn't exactly the most appropriate thing for LDQ. But on the other hand... there was already implied bestiality as a joke with Lake and her pet wolf. And this isn't as bad as that. So, it's fine. I'm just a degenerate.

But now it's time for more fluff.

Dominion Expansion

Time to make more friends! But tomorrow, because I've been too tired to write today due to the above mentioned sleep schedule fixing. I'll get on the chapter first thing when I wake up in the morning. Well, first thing after I wake up and make coffee. Coffee always has to be the real first thing of the morning.

In Closing

I'm still going back and forth a lot on what new projects I want to focus on. I guess the good news is that I'm making a little bit of progress on each one back and forth, but I really want to pick one that I can just... focus on and treat as a new series that I'm consistently working on. I do have a lead of sorts on something that I'm going to try planning out more this week, though. I get inspired by really random things at times. This time, it was getting inspired by a random animated video using Total War Warhammer assets. Just one random animated video popping up in my recommendations was enough to give me a bunch of random inspiration for like, entire plot lines.

But for now, I'm going to get some sleep, wake up, and do my best to write both DE and EDO tomorrow.
