Weekly Update #211

Alright. I somehow managed to start and write a full book for a new series within two weeks.

I'm mentally very tired and don't feel like typing up a bunch for this update, but I do want to at least get the bare minimum of my thoughts out and to answer any potential questions.

1. the chapters are short because I split them up to dump them onto RR/SH. I'll be merging more than half the chapters together when it comes to Amazon.

2. all future updates for the story are going to be locked to the $5 tier. I don't want to make it a $10 tier story since $10 comes with update consistency, at least in regard to how frequently the story updates, and I have no idea when the next time this story is going to update. I'd like to try and type up one book for it a month until this burst of muse starts to calm down, so I'll probably be writing for it almost every day still, but I won't be updating it anywhere near that frequently. Maybe one large batch of chapters every two weeks or so, or sooner if I type up enough that I'm fine with posting. But yeah. While this first volume is available to all patrons, early access to future volumes will be available to $5+ patrons. More content for the $, but no guaranteed posting schedule whatsoever. Could go months without an update for all I know. That probably won't be the case, but I'm not going to feel bad about it if it is.

3. when it comes to posting to RR/SH, I'm probably only going to post whenever a full volume is done. Post one chapter a day there. If they get caught up, then no chapters until a new volume is done, however long that may take. But given that I'll probably be able to type up one to potentially two new volumes by the time it would take RR/SH to reach, there might not be a lapse in posting. But still, those are just going to be daily, very short chapters. Patrons get big, far more satisfying batches of chapters, and they also get them much sooner. Really, Patreon will probably just keep on getting further and further ahead from the public releases, especially considering that I won't be posting to RR/SH until I have a cover for the story and an entirely new second volume might be done before that happens.

So yeah. New story. I will not be pressuring myself to meet any sort of weekly quota or anything and am just going to write it as much as I want, which just so happens to be all the time at the moment. Maybe there'll be a week between future updates. Maybe two weeks. Maybe a month. Regardless, it'll only be $5 to keep up to date with it and each update will be thicc.

Anyways, the story itself is, what I feel, incredibly generic. It's also the most plot-focused of all my stories with minimal slice of life so far. Probably the most generic story I've ever written, in my opinion. Not that there's anything wrong with being generic or basic.

Some parts of it need touched up on and feel a bit rushed, but that's to be expected for a rough draft, and I'm ultimately really happy with how it turned out. So, I'm just going to keep on selfishly writing this generic story because it's fun and yolo. I'm not thinking too hard about it, I'm just doing whatever I feel like with it, similar to how I started both TTE and LDQ, and those are my two longest-running stories.

It's been a while since Kadi got to show up, but, like always with Kadi, her appearance is short lived and tends to give more questions than answers. More importantly, now it's time for the last arc of this volume!

Anyways, I'm going to just go ahead and post this update so that I can take the rest of today off. I'm going to try forcing myself to take the day off, anyways. Honestly, I just want to write more of the new story, but I should really force myself to take a day off.
