Added 2022-07-19 03:38:02 +0000 UTCSo, the next volume of LDQ is done with editing. Just waiting on the cover now before submitting it to Amazon. Now, as far as editing TTE goes... I'm stupid. Very stupid. Allow me to rant about how much of an idiot I am.
Now, for some god awful reason, I didn't try editing TTE like I do with LDQ back when I first started. Because TTE needed both rewritten (to go from present tense to past tense) and properly edited, what I for some fucking reason decided to do was copy chunks of TTE into one document, swap the tenses, and then copy the swapped chunks into the volume's main document. If you're already not following then that's alright because it makes no sense, but it gets worse. On top of that, I didn't exactly go in order. After a few chapters, I decided to try going for the snowball effect by going for a bunch of the smaller chapters first while saving the biggest chapters for last. This resulted in having a bunch of out-of-order chapters with their tenses swapped in the main document. Then, to make matters even worse, there were a few parts where I would edit half a chapter and then put that in, so I had to go back and figure out what was missing.
Basically, just finding the willpower to organize TTE's first volume to make sure everything was where it was supposed to be took me half a day. But I did it. As far as I can tell to the best of ability, all of TTE's first volume is in place in a single document. About 80% of it already has the tenses swapped. I still need to swap the rest of them, but I'm doing that while reading and properly editing it now. I'm going to aim for editing one, maybe two, chapters a day. Mind you, when I say chapter, I mean like 15k words or so. Back then, I would upload like... 5-6 small-ish chapters that all shared the same name. They were just parts of a bigger chapter. So now, those are all merged together, and each chapter is like 15-20k words long. If I keep this rate up, the first volume of TTE will be finished before the end of the month and I can publish it to Amazon, finally.
But yeah. I have no idea what the fuck I was thinking originally when I first tried editing TTE. There were like 6 different documents all with chunks of the first volume in it, several of which overlapped with each other, some were edited and some weren't, and I had no idea where I was.
Also, the edited version of TTE that'll be on Amazon is already 10k words longer than the original. I'm adding more descriptions, expanding on conversations, etc. There should be a noticeable difference in quality between the current state of the first volume and what I publish, and also just more content in various parts in general. The later volumes of TTE won't have as much added to them, but these earlier volumes definitely need more here and there. Mainly when it comes to abrupt scene shifts and conversations that felt like they ended too soon.
That aside, I'll definitely post EDO again this week, but still not sure about DE. Like I said last week, I just don't know what to write and am not exactly feeling it anymore. So rather than stress my self out trying to work on it when the muse isn't there, I'd rather dedicate that time and energy to editing TTE's first volume some more.

34 hours, 9,365 words. Most of those hours were spent editing, obviously.
The True Endgame
Fenrir and Saya are officially pissed off, so now it's time for some edgelords to learn what happens when they get on the wrong side of them. Seeing Rao and his maid harem being total virgins with each other basically is always fun, too. I really need to write like a spin-off volume with him as the protagonist focusing on his relationship with them.
Lazy Dragon Queen
This week's chapter is already written because I was so inspired for it that I wrote it last week before I wrote last week's LDQ chapter, and this should be a fun one. I have no idea how people will react to it, but I had fun with it. Just need to edit it a bit and probably fix a few things here and there, but it's good to go other than that!
