Are longer games more profitable? - Pachter Factor S8E32

What determines the length of single-player games? Less games are being produced, but they are getting longer, so why have movies and TV show stayed the same?

Yeah, I completed GTA V! ;p What I meant was, I usually avoid playing sequels with ongoing storylines if I did not finished the first one. Open-world games, in general, tend to have self-contain story. The footage of Horizon was quite fitting, I actually have the new Horizon game for free on PSN, but I haven't been able to get into it because it feels like I missed out on the main part of the story. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to play the first one. That's why I rely on game journalists to help me choose games that I'll love and actually complete. Thanks! BTW not sure about ego but for games like Witcher 3 it might be that ;p!
