Fun in the 'Vette

Way back in Book 2 (I think), Paul's dad bought a new car, an Orange Flame 1976 Corvette. So we had to go find a matching car for this pic so Tzratzk could draw it. Yay us!
It's also a fun scene by itself. Because Gina. I mean, what's not to like? Totally wife material, right?

I just went back and checked, and the story never mentions when David bought the car. So I was mistaken in the illustration write-up (above). The story starts in 1975, and it's a 1976 Corvette, so it's plausible that he had it from the beginning. It doesn't come up until well into Book 2. As far as the airport car, yes, David bought a 1965 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. Jack's Corvette is a 1964 (and black, I think, although I don't know if <em>Nereids</em> ever makes that explicit). So they're different cars.

2017-10-31 14:27:37 +0000 UTCOk maybe I am remembering incorrectly but could've sworn he owned the corvette from the start of the story and in Book 2 he bought a cheaper car to leave at the airports during his flights. Also was the corvette supposed to be Jack's that he left to David. Either way great pic and even better story, thanks for all your work.
