Can't believe 2 whole years have passed since the last time we were here....feels like not that long ago but at the same time sooooo much has happened since then! 2 years ago Delos was still in Mexico, and since then we crossed the Pacific, spent a dreamy year in French Polynesia, made the life changing decision to build a new boat, started a new life in Australia and nearly built the hull of our boat 🤯 Pretty wild how much can happen in 2 years, but I digress...now for this week's episode! The countdown is on until the flip, and it was an absolute MAD dash to get as much done as we could. The team was in overdrive as we finished up all the welds, logged days on the sanders, and did some pretty big jobs to get all the supports ready that we would use to logistically allow this whole crazy flip to go down. But as the dust settled and everything began to come together, we couldn't think of any better way to celebrate than the arrival of a few veryyyy special guests....YOU GUYS! And of course the man, the myth, Papa Delos A.K.A. my old man! We had an amazing time hanging with so many of you that were able to make it out...you all are such a special group of people, and it still blows our minds at what a cool community we're lucky to have supporting us, and it's a whole other thing to be able to hang in person. These Patreon events mean so much to us, and it really makes us feel so incredibly humbled and grateful to share this crazy adventure with all of you 🥰. And speaking of Patreon events, we will see you all very soon, can't wait!

Down in St Martin they had the (ginormous) Scoobi Doo, and followed her up with the 75' Scoobi Too, but flagged Neth. Antilles not French. Does the flag and homeport have to match? I.e., US Port (Seattle), US flag...

If she's US flagged then nearly all the European companies that offer competitive offshore rates will not insure you. So you are left with the US underwriters only which are much more expensive as they have a corner on the market. It's a shame, but that's a major reason for not flagging in the US for us. Still researching as always.... I kind of like keeping the name Delos, she is the iteration of everything we've learned and loved over the years so Delos 2.0 would be a continuation of that! Brian

Something very unique. The smell too. Everyone said I always smelled. Imagine it was all the shielding gasses and aluminum welding
