2024-03-12 18:01:36 +0000 UTCUnfortunately Ciguatera is rampant here in French Polynesia. So unless you have very specific local knowledge most of the lagoon fish are too high risk. It's a shame because it's littered with all sorts of grouper and other delicious fish. And they come right out and look straight at you because no one hunts them.... So no spear fishing as of lately.... But we do get to do a lot of trolling when we're sailing and just finished off a big tuna we caught on the sail. Pelagic fish are safe!
