After a long wait and many teases, here we have it: Decemberโs Postcard of the Month. In the end, Iโve titled it โHow We Spent the Winter Nightsโ, and it depicts a writer and her butch or transmasc lover. Definitely among the most time-intensive pieces that Iโve ever made, and worth every single one of the 209 book spines I illustrated in it.
This postcard marks the beginning of the Merry Blackbird Postcard Societyโs third year. Isnโt that wild?! Itโs a privilege to make artwork for you for a third trip around the sun. December is now the first month to have three MBPS cards!
Coming up, Iโll be showing off the gold foil postcard that will be accompanying it in Raven Dandy deliveries!
And Iโll also be revealing a special surprise Iโve been working on to celebrate the MBPSโs second anniversary at the end of this month! Iโve just gotten photo proofs back of this handsome little trinket, and I canโt wait to show it to you.
