The Monster of Kaon (Volume 2): Chapter 11

The semi-artificial planet, Quintessa.

It was supposed to be a normal day on the homeworld of the Quintesson species. The home world upon which the entire rank of Judges reside and rule their vast empire spread across the galaxy.

As a species created mainly as a military force, there were no civilians among these people. There were only ranks that these creatures were created for.

Soldier-Class. The lowest rank of the species, barely above the various mindless drones that populate the forces of this race.

Executioner-Class. A step above the Soldier-Class, holding more power than the common rank and file of their armies.

Merchant-Class. The beginning of the middle class of this species. A rank where the Quintessons would be in charge of individual transport ships, functioning both as tribute transport from their subordinate worlds as well as scouts for discovering new worlds to conquer.

Scientist-Class. The second-highest class. The rank that is responsible for the scientific advancement of their species as a whole.

And finally, the Judges. The highest class in their society and the de facto rulers of the entire Quintesson species.

All in all, the Quintessons are a species that exists solely to conquer new worlds and indulge in the riches stolen from their conquests.

However, all of that was soon going to change.

It began with a few Space Bridge signatures right above their home world. Something that none of the Executioner-class Quintessons, responsible for keeping an eye on the incoming and outgoing traffic from the planet, cared about, since a few hundred ships enter or exit Space Bridges above the planet every day.

A mistake that proved to be fatal when these space bridges spat out a few dozen warships of unknown make, along with three unique ships that stood out among the many purple colored ships known as Worldsweepers. Each one is bigger than their Merchant ships and just shy of their biggest warships.

It only took a few seconds for the Quitessons to realize that they were under attack and sound the alarm, scrambling their home fleet for defense while calling back their other fleets, which were busy conquering some newly discovered worlds.

Unfortunately, it was already too late for them.

“This is the one and only warning to all Quintessons. Stand down and prepare to be judged by the children of Primus. If you fail to heed our warning, you shall only have yourselves to blame for your extinction.”

That single message ran in a loop across the planet’s various systems as the Worldsweepers opened up, releasing thousands upon thousands of dropships that quickly dropped to the planet’s surface.

Many of the ships were shot out of the sky, but the sheer number of the ships meant that even the anti-air and anti-orbital defenses of the planets were completely useless against the dropships, not to mention that their anti-orbital defenses were already disabled by a virus that invaded their systems somehow.

“Your resistance has been noted. You are now marked for extinction. This day, the cruel existence known as the Quintesson Empire shall come to an end. Thus decrees Metroplex, leader of the Titans.”

With those words, the dropships opened up, revealing countless Vehicon drones, all ready to execute anything that moves.

The moment they were activated, the Vehicons did not waste a single second, transforming their arms into their economy blasters and directly firing upon anything that moved.

Some of them, transformed into their jet alt-modes and flew into the air, swarming any Quintesson flight and swiftly achieving air superiority across the planet. At the same time, other Vehicons transformed into their ground-based alt-modes and chased down any fleeing Quintesson, not letting even a single one of them escape or give them the time to think.

Even with their numerical superiority and the element of surprise, Metroplex knew that if the Quintessons were allowed to rally together and gather their wits, it would be a very difficult fight for the Cybertronian forces. That is why he made sure to target key installations where the higher ranks of Quintessons usually gather, cutting off the high command of the species from issuing any commands and stopping them from regrouping.

The ships above the planet were not idle during this time either.

The Worldsweepers, true to their name, cleared out the space around the planet with their powerful weapons while also bombarding any and all important infrastructure on the planet below with their nuclear armaments.

Unlike Cybertron, where the atmosphere was very thin and would not be all that receptive to nuclear explosions, Quintessa had a thick atmosphere comparable to a garden world, mainly because the Quintessons were partially organic and preferred such an environment on their worlds.

Unfortunately for the slaver race, this thick atmosphere also meant that the shockwaves from the nuclear explosions were far more effective on their planet compared to Cybertron.

It was only when the home fleet of the Quintessons, consisting of nearly a hundred warships, started to overwhelm the Worldsweepers that the three titans that had accompanied this fleet under Fortress Maximus’s orders finally made their move.

The various Judges and Scientist-class, aboard the warships, could not believe what they were seeing as the three biggest warships of the Cybertroanian fleet suddenly transformed, turning into colossal bots that were at least 600 meters tall.

Then, their shock turned to horror as they beheld the absurd number of armaments on these titans, knowing that they simply did not stand a chance against such overwhelming firepower.

Unfortunately, they were not given the time to escape.

Metroplex and Metrotitan gave up on using their kinetic armaments, knowing that they would be too slow to stop the Quintesson ships. So they opted to use their energy weapons that they had gained after Maximus modified their bodies with the Forge of Solus Prime.

Chela, on the other hand, always preferred her breath attack, which was both a plasma torch and a laser canon.

Under the combined assault of such powerful weapons, the Quintesson fleet did not stand a chance.

Within a matter of three hours, the Cybertronians had complete control over key locations across Quintessa.

However, this was only the beginning.

Once the titans were sure that their forces had firmly established themselves in these locations, they began the next phase of their plan.

Hundreds of specialized Vehicons were released from the Worldsweepers, each one carrying tanks full of Cybermatter nanites and their blasters replaced with nanite sprays.

On the surface, near the locations that had the warehouses full of all kinds of resources, as well as places on the planet rich in natural resources, these Vehicons began the construction of Cybermatter Miners.

Once these key structures were completed and started to produce more Cybermatter nanites, the Vehicons got to work on the next set of structures.

One by one, Bot Fabricators came online, each one starting to churn out more Vehicons.

In orbit, they got to work fabricating a Ship Foundry where more Worldsweepers were being constructed.

Two days later, when one of the Quintesson fleets returned home after receiving the distress call, what awaited them was a star system full of warships and planets crawling with Vehicons.

Needless to say, that fleet met its end in a matter of seconds the moment it fell out of the Space Bridge.

Within a matter of a month, when the Titans felt like they had built up enough forces, thousands of warships departed in all directions with Quintessa as the center of this expanding sphere of violence.

Within a matter of three months, they swept through the entire galaxy and finally wiped out the last of the quintessons.

In this universe, the Quintessons would no longer exist, and the legend of the Cybertronians would spread across many worlds, hailed as saviors, the slayers of the demons, and many other such titles.

As for the bot that made all of this possible? He was currently caught in a situation that he did not know whether he should laugh or cry about.

Oh damn, Metroplex and the other titans are 600m?! Holy hell. I thought it was the 183m from the game, but this is way better! Nearly 2,000 foot tall Mortress Faximus is a BEAST! Hell yeah~! 🤩 They're almost half a mile tall! Heh.
