Looking at the neatly arranged information about my current body, I couldn’t help but start cursing again.

The fact that my current body looked like someone from an Asian drama is bad enough, given how hard it is for me to tell their faces apart. Now, even my name has been changed. Worse yet, for some reason, I can’t even remember what my original name was. I can’t remember my original face. I don’t know my parents' or friends' names and faces.

All I remember is the vague idea of my life that I used to live on Earth. However, this loss of details did not extend to my general knowledge, like my education, my general knowledge about the world around me, and other such things.

Honestly, it is extremely creepy.

And it was not just my past from Earth either, even the memories of Mo Tian were blurred, and a lot of information was missing.

The only clear details and memories I had were of the so-called Martial Arts that I practiced and some details of how my life was up to this point.

Ignoring the pit forming in my stomach, I scrolled through everything that this ‘system’ had to offer before I came to a few conclusions. (Yes, I finally accepted the fact that this is indeed a so-called system similar to the novels I used to read back home)

First, this world is similar to some of those Wuxia novels I used to read back in my world, including the death world aspects of those stories, which is terrifying to consider even with the so-called Martial Arts that I now have.

Second, I have been thrown into the body of a guy called Mo Tian, a child of the Mo family from the capital of the biggest Kingdom on this continent.

Third, I am starting this second life of mine on veteran difficulty.

From what I can tell, a huge chunk of memories about my current situation are missing. The last thing that this body remembers is going to sleep in his extremely extravagant bed in a fucking mansion that his family claimed their own in the remote city near the borders of the Kingdom, which is just one of the many estates that the Mo family owns across the kingdom. (No, I am not jealous. Why would I be? Is it because the house rates are through the roof back home, thanks to the stupid Economy?)

After that, the memories continue from when I woke up in the main mansion of my family in the capital.

Apparently, just because I traveled to a different world did not mean that my abysmal luck had changed much. In fact, I think it just went into the negative values if my situation is anything to go by.

I shook my head to stop myself from thinking about those things. There is no use in crying over spilled milk. Right now, I need to think about my path forward.

In this world, strength is an absolute necessity. The scale by which the worth of a person is judged is through their personal strength as a Martial Artist, or their political and familial strength.

Besides all that, there is also the death world aspect that needs to be considered.

While the majority of the humans in this world are regular people doing regular things, the notable families and individuals across the Kingdom practice martial arts and can easily fold a weakling like me as if I were Sunday laundry.

And as if adding insult to injury, I don’t even know where I am, and if this forest is one of those places where Bandits or those rare beasts that can use Internal Force live.

…..I really hope this so-called system has something that can help me.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

“….Damn you! system, or whatever you are called.”

[Unknown command. Unable to Comply]

I felt my hate for the system double as those words appeared in front of me again.

It has been nearly three hours since I woke up and realized that this was not some dream or imagination, and decided to get some food, which was rather easy since the man from earlier, my caretaker, brought a rather lavish (for this world) food for me soon after our run in and then left me behind in the room again, saying that I should not move until the Imperial Physician takes a look at me.

After that, I tried to see if the system had anything that could help me in this situation. It was only fair considering I was reasonably sure that it was responsible for my current situation.

However, after going through everything that this so-called system can do, I have concluded that this thing is absolutely useless to me as it is now.

The only thing it can do is display information about my body and things around me in a quantified manner, and something called the ‘lottery’ (I am getting very bad vibes from that name, so I don’t even dare to open it right now). That’s it. It does not offer any leveling system like I used to read in those novels, or any shops or quests, absolutely nothing.

With that in mind, I have decided to completely ignore its existence.

After eating, I moved to the bathroom and cleaned myself up on instinct (thank god, or whatever passes for a god here, that I don’t have to relearn such basic things in this world) and then got dressed in a robe that would make me stand out.

Seriously, this kid had an inferiority complex a mile wide, hence the extravagant clothing, accessories, and other such stuff he had.

With nothing else to do but wait, I sat down on the bed and started to go through the memories of this body, trying to see if there was anything important I was missing.

It was while I was doing this that the door to my room was opened and my caretaker, Hong, walked in with an old man.

Instantly, my mind put a name to his face, and his identity became clear.

Jun Xiang, the Imperial Physician and a renowned healer in the Kingdom.

The old man smiled at me, but the smile did not reach his eyes. Similar to how an overworked employee might give a fake smile to his boss despite hating his guts.

“Young Master Mo, it is good to see you are in good health. I guess the rumors that you were in critical condition after that duel were greatly exaggerated.”

….Yeah, this old man definitely hates me.

Also, what duel?

Ignoring my confused look, the old man walked forward and placed his fingers on my wrist, channeling his Inner Force, or Qi, through my meridians.

How do I even know what he was doing? Again, instinct is a terrifying thing, and despite being a wastrel, this body was still someone from an influential family.

Soon, old man Jun nodded and looked towards the caretaker.

“He is completely fine.”

Caretaker Hong bowed deeply at the man.

“Thank you, Physician Jun.”

“It's fine. If there is nothing else, I’ll take my leave.”

“Of course! Please follow me.”

As the two conversed, they did not even look at me once, which was quite bizarre since, based on this body’s memories, while he was indeed ignored most of the time and was considered a wastrel, he was never ignored to this extent before.

Seriously, just what the hell happened here?

Left alone in the room, I could not help but collapse back onto the bed and continue searching my memories for any clue on what was happening around here.

Author Notes:

Ok, so here is the Wuxia story I talked about in the survey.

First things first, this story will be very different from my other stories since I am going to use the 'Quest' format from SB.

Here is how it is going to work.

Before every chapter where the MC will draw the 'Lottery', I will put up a poll of ten items at the chapter's end. The top 5 voted items will be placed in a roulette wheel, which I will spin. The winning item is what the MC will get in the story.

In essence, I want this story to be an interactive one between me and the readers.

i want to see how this style of writing pans out and if you guys will like it or not.
