The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 41

It was a semi-normal day on the jungle planet that the Beastformers called home.
The various tribes were going about their business. Some, like Blackarachnia, Airazor, and Tigatron, and the leaders of the tribes, were busy playing diplomats with the ambassadors from Velocitron, while the others were preparing the various local goods and Energon supplies to be traded with Caminus.
However, as they went about their business, everything came to a grinding halt as a joyful roar rang out across the continent, startling all the bots in the vicinity.
Before the Eukarians, the Velocitronian ambassadors, and the Camian diplomats could understand what was even happening, the mountain under which their Titan made a home for herself exploded outwards as the colossal Beastformer Titan flew into the air.
“My children! Heed my words! My brother has been brought back from his permanent stasis by Maximus of Cybertron! I am leaving Eukaris for a short time to meet my kin. I entrust our home to all the leaders of the tribes in the meantime.”
“As a form of gratitude for what he has done for my kin, I hereby declare all Camians the kin of Eukaris and should be treated as such from now on instead of simple allies!”
With her piece said, Chela, the third-born of the first three titans to ever exist, rocketed out of Eukaris’s atmosphere before engaging her Warp Drive, shooting straight for Cybertron. Something that had only been possible thanks to the coordinates sent to her by Metroplex, along with the message he sent her.
And, much to the shock of various bots across the galaxy, this was a scene that would be repeated many times across many worlds.
Titans long forgotten or in self-induced stasis would suddenly burst out of eons-old rock formations, glaciers, volcanic zones, and so on, as they rise out of their home planets, heading straight for Cybertron.
For all second and third-generation Titans must heed the call of the Three. The first Titans to ever exist.
Not to mention the fact that these Titans would never miss the chance to witness an ancient tradition and knighting, something that had not occurred in eons past. A tradition that was lost to time, since there were no bots who proved themselves worthy of such an act until now.
As for the bot who started all of this?
He was completely unaware of the upheaval heading his way, thanks to the fact that his companion had finally discovered the entrance to what he needed the most at this time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We blazed through the skies of Cybertron in our Alt-mode, shooting straight for what used to be the city of Tarn.
“Are you sure about this? Windblade? You are completely sure that what you saw is the entrance to Vector Sigma?”
“I am not completely sure, Maximus. But based on what I saw, it matches exactly what you said it would look like.”
Victor Sigma is an enigmatic system even for me, predating nearly every other technological wonder ever achieved by our species.
Some say it was created by Solus Prime during the Age of the Thirteen. Others say that it was created by Primus himself to assist his children.
There are many legends about its creation and its function, but the one truth that never changed was the fact that the supercomputer that calls Vector Sigma home is partially sapient, and it only answers to the Primes and their lineage.
As such, it is not uncommon for the damned thing to always relocate itself whenever someone not of the Prime lineage tries to access it.
This is why I felt shocked when I learned how the Ascenticons dragged Alpha Trion out of his hiding hole within Vector Sigma to torture and end him.
Logically speaking, it should be impossible to capture him when he is within Vector Sigma since the construct’s very nature would not allow something like that to ever happen.
However, since it already happened, there is only one conclusion I could come to based on the data available.
Alpha Trion let himself be captured and taken out of Vector Sigma. He allowed the Ascenticons to locate the building and himself and allowed himself to be taken captive, and then killed by Shockwave.
For what reason? What was that bastard planning? I do not know, and I do not want to know.
The only thing that I care about now is that, without a Prime to anchor it in one place, Vector Sigma now moves on the surface of Cybertron randomly. How long will it stay in one location? How long will it remain on the surface and not retreat into the underworld? How will I even get into that damned building without having the Matrix of Leadership or the Key of Vector Sigma?
All of these are questions that I have yet to find an answer to.
This meant that I had no choice but to improvise like I always do and wing it, as it were.
Soon, we arrived in the ruined cityscape of what was once Tarn, a populous city that was one of the first to fall during the Autobot-Decepticon war, according to Shockwave.
It made sense that it would be the first to fall.
Aside from our main base on the edges of the Rust Sea, the Ascenticon movement had the greatest support from the citizens of Tarn, Vos, Helex, Kaon, Tesarus, and Crystal City. This would mean that, when a civil war broke out, these cities would be the first to fall to the conflict.
Looking at the ruins that were once a beautiful city teeming with life, I could not help but feel sad.
All that potential for a bright future, all those bots that called it home and looked to us, to me, to guide them, reduced to ashes by the foolishness of my disciples, and my own idiocy in trusting Alpha Trion, thinking that at least the original thirteen would be different from Sentinel and his lineage.
What a fool I was.
I was brought out of my thoughts when Windblade dropped in altitude and headed towards the center of the city, where a massive clearing existed.
Originally, this clearing was used to host many different kinds of entertaining activities and games after the Quintesson War, a showcase of our culture and triumphs as a species.
After the cast system came into effect, however, it was left abandoned with plans to restructure it and establish industries in the open space, something that never came to be due to various factors.
Now, this open plot lay abandoned, save for the colossal pyramid structure that jutted out from the ground.
The ancient transmission systems pinging my communication systems, the C.N.A. Authentication systems trying to remotely scan me. The code of the Primes trying to link up with something within me, something that does not exist.
There is no doubt about it, this is definitely the entrance to Vector Sigma.
I patted Windblade’s shoulders as I continued glaring at the damned structure.
“You did good, Windblade. This is definitely it.”
“Thanks! So, what now?”
“Now? We blow up the entrance and get in-“
I could not even complete speaking before the entrance to Vector Sigma shuddered and slowly creaked open, revealing a staircase leading into the darkness of the Underworld.
“…Or we can just walk into it? Is that normal? Maximus?”
“….No. No, it is not.”
Just what the hell is going on here?
Comments
Well, he was there when she was born. He has been a guiding figure throughout her life alongside the Mistress, and he taught her everything she knows about strategy, technology and a few other things. And most importantly he was a constant paternal figure throughout her life ever since she was born.
