The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 47
Added 2025-07-15 08:36:56 +0000 UTCWindblade dodged to the best of her abilities as the former Decepticon used his guns to keep pressure on her.
The ancient bot modified by Shockwave to take on entire armies kept the Femme on her toes as he tried his best to close the distance towards his main target.
The puddle of Cybermatter and Ununtrium frame that were once the bodies of Maximus and Fortress.
Despite its appearance and how things looked from the outside, Windblade knew that Maximus was not dead and neither was Fortress. Her optics could still make out the Sparks of her Mentor and his clone within that puddle of Cybermatter.
And somehow, Sixshot, or whoever was controlling his body, knew it as well, given how desperate he was to get to the puddle.
Either that, or he was moving to get the Forge of Solus Prime that was hastily thrown near the puddle at the beginning of this fight.
The fighting styles of the two bots couldn’t be different, yet they managed to keep each other on edge, not giving an inch to each side.
Windblade was fast and precise. Her blade strokes and energy blasts targeted hidden weaknesses in Sixshot’s frame that not even the bot was aware of until the shots and blade strikes landed, steadily reducing his combat efficiency as wounds accumulated on his body.
On the other hand, Sixshot was raw power given focus, pure destruction directed by discipline. His every move looked deceptively simple but hid enough power to decimate most bots.
He took advantage of his unique abilities to continuously transform into one of his six alt-modes, keeping Windblade guessing as to what he would do next.
Would he turn into his flight mode and rain down death from above? Would he turn into his tank mode to shoot devastating shells at her? Would he turn into a Warp Cannon, throw blasts capable of bringing down Titans on her? Would he turn into a Steeljaw and try to maul her face? Or would he do something else entirely?
On some level, the battle between Windblade and Sixshot was more representative of their mindsets than a simple fight. Windblade’s precision and technique against Sixshot’s raw power and discipline.
And yet, despite this stalemate in their abilities, Windblade knew that she could not do this for long, for she was inherently and fundamentally weaker compared to a Sixshot.
Her body, which was made of Sentio Metallico and created to be more of an Economical model than a true war model, was inherently weaker than that of Sixshot, whose body was born from Cybermatter and was further modified by Shockwave for war.
For now, she kept up with him thanks to her skills in combat. However, she knew that sooner or later, she would be the one to run out of Energon first, leaving her and her mentor vulnerable and without defense.
So she made a gamble.
Sixshot transformed his arms into his blasters again, aiming at Windblade’s spark chamber and her brain module at the same time. However, during this time, he failed to notice that Windblade was not about to evade his shots as he had predicted, which would allow him to follow through with a blade strike.
Instead, as the energy blasts left his barrels, Windblade rushed into the attack and half transformed, allowing her to barely dodge the shot aimed for her spark chamber while getting minor damage to her faceplate as the blast aimed for her brain module scraped by.
It was this reckless yet calculated move that allowed her to finally close the gap between them and use her blade to strike at the Decepticon’s spark chamber.
Unfortunately, she missed one thing in her calculation. Something that she could not have known about.
As her blade was merely a few centimeters away from impaling Sixshot, a different blaster rang out across the field, followed by a devastating impact that sent her sprawling, damaging her left arm and wing with the power behind the blast.
With great difficulty, she turned her head to see her attacker, and saw the Autobot symbol on the bot’s chest plate.
“You Camians have always been far too much trouble than you are worth. Good thing I decided to keep this backup body nearby in case Armorbite overwhelmed my primary form.”
The bot that was once called Prowl sneered at the downed Femme while lazily walking towards her, all the while eyeing the puddle of Cybermatter and Ununtrium frame.
“I must say, I never imagined that he would self-destruct in such a manner. To think that the only bot who ever truly threatened me on the political battlefield is reduced to me. How vexing! I would have loved to tear him apart myself.”
“But, then again, maybe it is for the best. After all, I can’t have him throw a wrench into my plans again like he did last time.”
“J-Just who are you-GAAAAAH!!”
Windblade screamed in agony as ‘Prowl’ stomped on her damaged wing, crushing it completely beneath his power.
“You don’t need to know that. Since you will be dying soon enough. Who knows? Maybe Armorbite will finally break once he sees you in the Afterlife as well?”
“Y-You will not get away with this!”
“But I already did. And even if the others find out the truth, what are they going to do? Senator Shockwave? He will probably go catatonic again after learning about the demise of you two. The Insecticons? They are of no consequence since I can easily deal with them. The Titan? He is no threat to me either, especially since he is distracted by Iaconus right now.”
‘Prowl’ grinned at Windblade as he slowly cut out one of her fuel lines, causing her tremendous agony as she started to bleed out Energon rapidly.
The monster took great pleasure in the agony he was causing the bot that had become a nuisance for his plans ever since she arrived on Cybertron.
However, in his glee, he failed to pick up the spike in Energon signature and the movement within the puddle of Cybermatter behind him. He even failed to notice how the Forge of Solus Prime started to spool up, as if in response to an unseen signal.
Slowly, the former Autobot reached for her faceplate, hooking his hands right around her optics.
“You do not deserve these optics. Neither did that bastard Armorbite deserve that T-Cog. I am the only one who was worthy! I was the only deserving one! I led Cybertron through an age where even the slightest mistake would mean all our deaths! I saved our people by cutting off the Space Bridge network!”
“I deserve to be Prime! No matter what that old coot Alpha Trion said! No matter what that damnable god of ours said! I deserve it!”
“No, Sentinel. What you deserve is death.”
A chill went down the spine of ‘Prowl’ as he heard the familiar, if deeper, voice, making him swirl around and come face to face with the bot that now towered over him.
His height was now twice as much as before, with a much broader frame, making him bigger than any other bot in existence.
His beloved shield, for which he hunted down the Star Seekers and their leader across the Galaxy, was now embedded within his chest piece, its ethereal glow showing that it was still functioning as intended, maybe even better.
His laser cannon looked completely different. The power readings within the weapon showed that it was now many times more powerful than it was before, putting it on the same level as starship-grade weaponry.
However, the laser canon was no longer the only ranged weapon he had.
Over his shoulders, attached to his body by two swivel arms originating from his back, two colossal chain cannons emerged, similar to his clone.
Horror filled the heart of ‘Prowl’ as he started to back away.
“no, no, No,NO!! It cannot be! Why won’t you just die!?”
“Sentinel Prime, as long as you exist, so will I. So long as you continue on your cruel and evil path, I, Fortress Maximus, will always be there to stop you.”
The bot, once known as Armorbite, then Maximus, now calling himself Fortress Maximus, picked up the Forge of Solus Prime that continued spooling up with power continuously, as if it were a cat purring in contentment.
Before Prowl, or rather, the parasitic being known as Sentinel Prime, could escape while using the Autobot’s body as a decoy, Maximus swung the Forge at the husk of the Autobot, smashing him into pieces then and there, thanks to the ridiculous raw power that his new frame now held.
Without even waiting for the scattered pieces to fall, Maximus fired from his laser, vaporizing the parasitic Rust Worm that was revealed once the Autobot’s body was blown apart.
Then, with a burst of his thrusters, Fortress Maximus shot forward, outpacing the Fake Prime within the Sixshot’s body and cutting off his retreat.
Sentinel tried to fight back, transforming into his Warp Cannon mode and firing a shot that could easily devastate a city block.
However, Fortress Maximus’s shield embedded within his chest glowed, forming a hard-light shield around his body, which easily absorbed the attack.
Maximus retaliated by bringing out his sword, which was now as large as himself before his transformation, and splitting Sixshot’s body in two from the waist.
With all his escape routes cut off and his ‘death’ guaranteed, Sentinel Prime did not panic.
Instead, he laughed uproariously despite his current body starting to shut down.
“You think this will kill me? I am no longer so weak that I would be killed just because you destroyed my body-“
“I know, Sentinel. I have all of Fortress’s memories within my mind. I know exactly what you have done, and I also know that killing you this time around will take a lot more effort. However, do not forget who I am.”
Hefting the colossal hammer that now looked like a regular sledgehammer in his hand, Fortress Maximus glared down at the Fake Prime.
“I will find a way to end you for good. I will hunt down every single husk that you have taken over. I will save them from your influence, and if the worst does happen and their bodies have been reduced to nothing more than hollow husks for you to control, then I will put them out of their misery.”
“And who gave you the authority to judge me? If you don’t remember, let me refresh it. You are but a gladiator from Kaon. All of your previous titles mean nothing!”
“You are one to talk about titles, False Prime. But, I will indulge before I judge you.”
Fortress Maximus closed his optics and contacted his target with a hidden communication method that only those of his generation knew of.
“Metroplex of Cybertron. The First of the Three. Here and now, I need your advice and judgment.”
His voice echoed across the battlefield as Fortress Maximus broadcast the communication openly.
“I am now faced with a predicament that I cannot solve on my own. I face a criminal who violates our law, yet cannot be judged by me as I no longer hold any rank above him. What say you?”
The reply was instant as the booming voice of the titan resounded, sending chills down the spine of Sentinel. A feeling of terror that was only compounded as the symbol of the Ascenticons on Fortress Maximus’s forehead started to shift, changing into a familiar shape as a set of Titan code was transmitted by Metroplex..
“METROPLEX ACKNOWLEDGES FORTRESS MAXIMUS’S REQUEST AND HEREBY DECLARE.”
“YOU HAVE PROVEN YOUR ABILITY TO ENDURE AND SHOWN THE POWER OF YOUR WELL. THUS YOU GAINED THE BLESSING OF MY BROTHER, METROTITAN.”
“YOU HAVE PROVEN YOUR RESOURCEFULNESS, CUNNING, AND LOYALTY, THUS EARNING THE BLESSING OF MY SISTER, CHELA.”
“AND NOW, YOU HAVE SHOWN YOUR COURAGE AND HONOR BY DOING THE RIGHT THING INSTEAD OF LETTING YOUR EMOTIONS BLIND YOU. THUS, YOU HAVE EARNED MY RECOGNITION.”
“AS IS OUR TRADITION SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL, YOU WHO HAVE PROVEN YOURSELF WORTHY OF THE BLESSING OF US THREE, SHALL RECEIVE YOUR DUE REWARD AS DECREED BY PRIMUS HIMSELF.”
As the symbol completely morphed, the Forge suddenly burst to life within his arm, followed by his T-Cog being re-energized completely.
Sentinel Prime stared in pure terror while Windblade’s barely conscious mind could not help but be filled with awe at the sight in front of her.
“A knight? So the legends were true?”
Her whispers went unanswered as Metrotitan’s voice boomed one final time, delivering the death sentence for Sentinel Prime.
“ARISE, FORTRESS MAXIMUS, THE LAST KNIGHT OF CYBERTRON. WIELD YOUR AUTHORITY THAT IS NOW ABOVE EVEN THAT OF US TITANS, EQUAL TO THE THIRTEEN IN EVERY WAY, AND PURGE OUR WORLD OF ALL THOSE WHO SEEK TO HARM US.”
Fortress Maximus opened his optics that now shone with a baleful red light, glaring down at the horrified Sentinel Prime within the body of Sixshot.
“Heed my words, Sentinel Prime. I, Fortress Maximus, the last Knight of Cybertron, hereby declare you guilty of treason towards Cybertron and all of its people. I judge you guilty of experimenting with forbidden technology in the form of Exarchon’s body and replicating his mind-controlling powers to produce parasite Rust Worms into which you downloaded copies of your mind.”
“I judge you guilty of orchestrating the genocide of an entire species by manipulating the Omega Guardians.”
“I judge you guilty of perverting our people’s very culture by trying to use sparklings as soldiers.”
“I judge you guilty of suppressing our people through your cast system.”
“I judge you guilty of engineering the fall of the Ascenticon movement.”
“I judge you guilty of forcefully suppressing the progress of our people so that you can remain in power.”
One after another, Fortress Maximus continued calling out the monster for all of his acts, but he was not done yet.
Finally, as he reached the end of the long, long list of his atrocities, Fortress Maximus’s optics glowed with rage.
“And finally, I judge you guilty of taking away my love, my Codexa, from me and forcefully turning her Immersant.”
“For all of these crimes, I hereby sentence you to death. If I had the time, I would have hunted down every single one of your parasites myself. But, unfortunately, the future of our race takes precedence over my personal grudge against you. So, rejoice, fake Prime, you get to extend your miserable and pathetic life until Cybertron is restored.”
“But once I am done here, I am coming for you, Sentinel Prime. I will hunt down all of your parasites, and end you with my own hands.”
“That is a promise.”
Sentinel Prime was not allowed to even say anything before Fortress Maximus unleashed his full power.
The chain cannons on his shoulders spun to life along with his laser cannon, eradicating Sixshot completely and leaving behind a puddle of melted metal.
