The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 50
Added 2025-07-18 05:13:54 +0000 UTCIf it were any other time, I would have laughed at how things had been resolved so quickly in the limited time I was away.
But given who I am staring down right now, I can’t afford to let my emotions cloud my judgment.
Because if I do so, there is no telling what I will do to this traitor.
Probably far worse than what we already did to him.
I stared as Iaconus screamed mutely in agony, thanks to the fact that Chela and Metroplex tore out his voice box and other external components while I had personally infiltrated his body and ripped out a lot of major components that we needed.
Parts that were now stored inside containers that were being taken away by Lady Chela and Metroplex towards Crystal City, where her mate and Metroplex’s brother was slumbering to this day, and in dire need of repairs.
As for the still-alive and agonizing existence that is Iaconus? He is being dragged away by two Titans, heading straight for the Rust Sea.
I don’t think I need to guess what they are going to do to him, which was fair given what happened in those days long past.
To understand why the Titans and those of the old guard, like me, Shockwave, Ratchet, and others hold such hatred for Iaconus and the rest of the War Titans, one only needs to look at the history of the war and the subsequent time of rebuilding Cybertron.
Back in the days of the Quintesson War, our people were at a serious disadvantage against the invaders.
Technologically, the Quintessons were superior, with their production capability far surpassing ours, who had no need for such advancements until then, due to our mechanical existence and our only true need being Energon for sustenance, which we had in abundance in those days.
Numerically, we were still outnumbered as the Quintessons employed armies of cheaply produced and disposable war drones to fight our forces, overwhelming us with sheer numbers.
The only field in which we had an advantage over the Quintessons was through our Titans and the Omega Guardians, who could take down their warships and larger war machines quite easily, making way for our infantry forces.
So, it was no surprise that a sizable chunk of the sparks born from the well of sparks in those days were Titans and Omega Guardians, as if they were some kind of an immune response from Primus himself to fight off the invaders.
However, the Quintessons' very existence and their polluting of our planet’s ecosystem with their toxic byproducts, produced from their war factories and bio-warfare institutes, had an effect on nearly everything on the planet, including the Well of Sparks.
That was how the War Titans were born.
Beings born purely for combat. Far superior to their brethren in physical might and armaments, they carry. Born for the sole purpose of destruction.
At first, we believed them to be a boon given to us by Primus himself, created to assist us in war.
However, after the war, we realized how wrong we were.
It began with the Titan that we now call the Dweller. He used his mind control power to slowly control a sizable population of bots, biding his time to engage in a coup and take control of the planet.
However, he was beaten to the punch when Iaconus, unable to cope with the peacetimes, attacked his fellow titans to sate his lust for war.
His first victim was Metrotitan, whom he shot in the back with his blaster, destroying the First generation Titan’s Energon circulation pump and heavily damaging his T-Cog, permanently rendering him unconscious and leaving him stuck in his city mode.
With the attack already made, the Dweller did not waste any time and launched his own attack with his enthralled bots to take control of Cybertron.
The fight against the War Titans was a long and hard one, even harder than the one against the Quintessons, and left many of the survivors scarred mentally and physically.
In the end, my old companion Hammerbyte, a Beastformer that transformed into a shark, led our forces to defeat the Dweller while I took care of Iaconus.
Some might call it hubris to take on a war titan alone when he could crush me like a bug given the chance, but in those days, we simply did not have enough forces to take on such a threat, not to mention that Iaconus and the Dweller were not the only War Titans rampaging on Cybertron.
While it was not easy, given that it took me many cycles to recover from the injuries sustained in that fight, I did manage to bring down that titan by infiltrating his body and destroying him from the inside.
In hindsight, I think this is why Iaconus considered me the greatest threat to his continued existence once he was revived by Sentinel and received the information download about the current situation, necessitating him to perform an artillery barrage from a distance on my location instead of taking me on in a straight fight.
After the short war against the War Titans, with the help of the other Titans, we eradicated all the War Titans, except for the Dweller whose unique spark made him nearly unkillable, necessitating us to strip him of his personality matrix, emotional matrix, memories, and even his name after cutting off his head from his body, separating his brain module from his Spark, and then dumping both parts into the Argon Sea.
Even then, we were not willing to take any chances and decided to place one of us as a guardian for all of eternity, watching over the prison of the most dangerous War Titan. A duty that Hammerbyte took up voluntarily.
Even to this day, he remains in the Argon Sea, remaining in stasis to watch over the prison of the Dweller.
Truthfully, I am tempted to go and bring him back, ending his eternal vigil and bringing him back into the fold.
However, I could not do so, especially now when we are at the most critical stage of reviving our planet.
But once Cybertron is revived, there is no doubt that I will bring him back.
As for the Dweller? I have a semi-decent plan ready, which can be hammered out over time.
Watching the Titans get to work on their various tasks, I turned towards Silverbolt and Shockwave, who stood behind me along with the rest of the Ascenticons, led by Tarn.
Time to take care of the most important task of our lives.
“Alright. Silverbolt, head to the Well of Sparks and keep an eye on it. Shockwave, I need you to take all the others with you to orbit. The same goes for you, Tarn. With the Titans busy with their own tasks, I need your crews and ship to keep an eye out for any trouble headed our way, even if the chances of that happening are next to none. Kickback, you and your hive will escort me down as we travel through the Underworld. We will be using the old Pilgrimage tunnels from the Age of Origins, something that only you Insecticons know about.”
“””“Yes! Lord Maximus!””””
“Good.”
I felt a strange feeling dominate my mind as I beheld my friends and companions.
With a deep breath, I reached within me as my chestplate shifted and opened up to reveal the small object that looked like a spiral with a glowing center that fit in the palm of my hand, its glow illuminating the surroundings with a dazzling light, making it hard for anyone else but me to clearly see its shape.
The Allspark is quite a strange thing.
Apparently, when Silverbolt found it, it had no shape to define itself and was a flowing cluster of energy that his brain module simply could not make any sense of.
After it was brought into containment, it suddenly took on the shape of a simple cube with ancient Cybertronian writings that I recognized as the language of the Primes based on his recreations of the writings.
But then, when I took it into my hand so that I could store it within myself for safekeeping, it suddenly turned into this shape.
A very familiar shape that anyone who had seen the Bayverse movies from my old life would recognize instantly.
I think the Allspark does not have a fixed shape of its own and simply takes on the form that its current holder thinks it should look like, hence why it took on the form of a cube when Silverbolt held it, similar to how it is portrayed in the legends about it, and why it took on the form of the Matrix of Leadership from the movies I remember from my human memories because that is the first thing that comes to my mind whenever I think about those movies.
Shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts, I turned to Kickback and his hive.
“Let’s go. It is about time that our planet was restored to its glory.”
Perhaps, it is fitting that I feel awe and expectation as we stepped on the old path of Pilgrimage, heading straight for Cybertron’s core.
After all, this is a pilgrimage in all but name. A pilgrimage to save my people and bring Cybertron back to life.
I just hope I can bring those quarreling children back to their senses and somehow find a way to stop them from fighting each other for all eternity.
And take out an ancient god of evil while I am at it.
No pressure.

Allspark is all he needs to revive Primus and Cybertron, allowing the Well of Sparks to function again. But to restore the entire biodiversity of the planet, such as the cyber-flora and fauna, he will need the Omega Lock, so they will still be relevant in the story. As for his talk with Primus, that will be a secret until the next two chapters or so.

The point being making cybertron/Primus habitabale again. Oh and can I expect a scene similar to what optimus had like getting the matrix from primus like primus talking to him.
