The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 56
Added 2025-07-24 14:04:48 +0000 UTCArcee watched the fight in front of her with awe and fear, just like Bulkhead, Bumblebee, and Cliffjumper did.
As for the older bots, like Ironhide, Team Elita minus Elita-1, and Jetfire, they felt nostalgia and sadness as they watched the scene before them.
As the Antibodies moved in a swarm, acting like a pack of hunters, the two bots at the center of more than a hundred Antibodies fought with a deadly precision and skill that no younger bot could comprehend.
Optimus Prime used his economy model Pathblasters to take out any Antibodies that he could, while using his blades to cut through them when they got close.
But those that he missed, Megatron would get.
His sheer raw power allowed him to easily manhandle any antibody that got too close, while his modified Riot Canon allowed him to take out huge chunks of the swarm at a distance.
However, the thing that truly caught the eye of the observers was how they fought as a single unit.
Like a team, like comrades, like brothers-in-arms against impossible odds.
Optimus would watch out for any ambushes on Megatron, while Megatron would make sure that no antibody could get close to Optimus when his back was turned.
Covering each other’s blind spots and communicating silently within the battlefield, the two warriors of old easily took care of the swarm of hundreds while the younger bots and other Autobots were struggling with just a few dozen of the Antibodies.
It was at this moment that Arcee remembered the ancient stories that Ratchet and other older bots used to tell her generation of Autobots.
About the time when the Autobots and Decepticons were one.
Of the Age of the Ascenticons.
Or as the older bots unofficially called it, the Age of Hope.
The swarm of Antibodies moved as one and tried to overwhelm the two bots, which forced the others to stop just watching and start moving in.
With the help of the Autobots, it did not take long before they managed to make a way through the tunnels and finally arrive at the spark chamber of the Chaos Bringer himself.
However, Arcee never took her optics off of Megatron due to her suspicions, which is why she was able to spot the sudden change that took over the leader of the Decepticons.
His red optics suddenly became deep purple as he hunched over in agony, indicating that he was fighting off his darker personality trying to take control. Or perhaps, something much worse than taking over.
And yet, even such a sight did not induce as much fear into the young bot as the colossal ball of energy that gave an oppressive feeling did as the final door opened.
The spark of the Chaos Bringer himself.
It was then that it began.
Powerful waves of energy surged out from the Spark of the evil god, striking at the Autobots and Megatron and forcing them to their knees.
However, the one most affected was none other than Optimus.
As the wielder of the Matrix of Leadership, The Chaos Bringer’s power was the very antithesis of the Prime’s existence.
“You cannot defeat me, disciple of Primus. I am a transcended being given physical form!”
“By my will alone, all upon this world shall fall into chaos-“
Ironically, Arcee felt like chuckling as the evil god was cut off from his monologue as she saw Optimus open up his chestplate and reveal the Matrix, ready to do something, before a Ground Bridge ripped open the fabric of reality within the chamber.
“Is that us?”
Jetfire shook his head at Ironhide’s question.
“Not us. The Wormhole intensity and radiation are far beyond any Ground bridge. That, is a true Space Bridge.”
“Then, it’s the cons!?”
“I think so-“
Suddenly, two bots flew through the Space Bridge, causing everyone to become alert.
But the one who had the biggest reaction was Unicron himself.
“PRIMES!!”
With that hate-filled roar, The Chaos Bringer sent out energy waves that were orders of magnitude more powerful than before.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The moment I passed through the Space Bridge, I knew I was exactly where I wanted to be.
The concentration of Dark Energon was so high that it was literally messing with my senses, thanks to the overwhelming darkness within.
However, I did not even have the time to adjust myself to the new situation as I saw waves of dark energy heading straight for us, accompanied by the roars of the Chaos Bringer.
It was my experience that saved us as I activated my shield, barely protecting us both from the energy waves that would have shredded us apart should they have touched us.
Listening to the hate-filled roars of Unicron, I could not help but smirk.
Looks like whatever the thirteen did to him has left a deep-seated hatred within Unicron for anyone who holds the artifacts of the Primes.
And given that I hold two of them, Windblade has one of them, and Orion has the Matrix, we must be drawing the maximum aggression from the evil god in this location.
How intriguing! I really want to know what they did to this guy.
Unfortunately, I do not have the time to indulge my scholarly intent right now, so I can only delay those studies and potential research projects for a later date.
I turned towards Orion, who was still staring at me with shock, and smirked a little.
“You might want to close that up, Orion. There is no need for you to use the Matrix right now.”
“….that voice, Maximus?”
My smirk became something warmer as I heard that crack within Orion’s voice while I spotted Megatronus staring at me with a stupid look, his optics continuously shifting between purple and red.
That could be a problem. But I’ll deal with that later.
“Indeed. Now, while I am glad to see you again-“
I activated my shield again, this time covering the entire field and protecting the defenseless Orion and Megatronus, along with Windblade, who had already run towards the other bots in the area and was getting ready to use the new tool I had gifted her.
I felt annoyance rise within me as Unicron continued to interrupt my reunion with my children, making me look towards the pulsing Spark at the center of the room.
“Alright, enough of that tantrum of yours. Look, I've got other, more important things to deal with aside from you, so how about we get this over with?”
The only reply I got was another incoherent roar, followed by more pulses of energy, followed by a literal wave of mechanical creatures flooding the chamber.
My reply to this veritable army of troops heading for us?
It was to face them head-on, guns blazing, literally.
I dropped the Ununtrium cage I brought with me and activated my combat systems, making my back sprout the chain cannons, my arms transform into my laser canons, and my thrusts sprouting out from my back and legs, allowing me to take flight.
With my mind accelerating beyond anything that I ever had access to, thanks to the evolutionary changes made to my body by the Titan code, I divided my processing into six parts.
Two parts, concentrating on aiming and controlling my chain cannons.
Two parts, controlling my arms, laser canons, and my flight systems.
One part, concentration on controlling my shield and my Outlier power.
And the last part keeping an eye on Windblade and the other bots.
Time to put the fear of Cybertron into this god’s spark.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Optimus stared in awe and joy as the sole bot took on the army of Antibodies and the evil god’s spark at the same time.
The body was completely different and larger, and so were his weapons and abilities. But, despite all these changes, there was one thing that would never change about the bot that he had always looked up to.
That very presence reassured those around him. That well-earned arrogance in his tone. That confidence to take on entire armies on his own, and the strength to put down said armies.
But, most importantly, the way the Matrix within his chest piece reacted to his very presence indicated that it was in the presence of someone else who was worthy of being a Prime, and the way he felt Maximus’s presence within his brain module, a testament to the subconscious reach of Maximus’s outlier power, was all the proof that he needed.
Even back then, before he was a Prime, he knew that Maximus was worthy of being a real Prime, just like what most of the Ascenticons thought and wanted.
Granted, many of the Ascenticons did not want Maximus to become a Prime. Instead, they wanted him to end the lineage of Primes and establish a new government structure with Maximus and his followers as the leaders, with Megatron being the greatest vocal supporter of this thought process, but many of the others still wanted Maximus to become a traditional Prime.
Now, however, with the Matrix of leadership pulsing within his chest, Optimus knew that he and his fellow companions, who later became the Autobots, were right in their thought.
Maximus was worthy of being a true Prime.
“Ok, what in the name of Primus is going on here!? And who are you two-“
“Arcee! Have some respect!”
Jetfire, the old veteran, practically hissed at the younger bot, who recoiled at the anger in his tone, making Optimus look away from the awe-inspiring show in front of him.
“Forgive Jetfire, Arcee. He is merely overwhelmed with emotion, just like I am. As for your question. That is Maximus. My former mentor.”
At his words, the young femme turned towards the airborne bot, watching as he practically bulldozed through the horde of antibodies, his chain cannons screaming with energy blasts, blowing them to pieces as his lasers literally carved out paths through the air.
“You mean the founder of the Ascenticons? I thought he was dead?”
“So did I. But evidently, I was wrong.”
Optimus felt a twinge of guilt as he heard the emotion within Jetfire’s voice. Optimus had known long ago that Maximus was still alive, albeit missing. However, he had not shared this news with anyone, not even Ratchet.
While his reason for doing this was valid, as he simply could not trust Alpha Trion’s words after what he had done, at least not without proof, which the original Prime had failed to provide since there was no stasis pod underneath the Atlantic where Alpha Trion promised Maximus’s pod would be, Optimus still could not help but feel guilty that he had kept his friends and comrades in the dark about such a significant thing.
As the group continued watching Maximus perform feats that proved once again why he earned his various monikers, Bumblebee was the first one to notice the threat headed their way.
“Incoming!”
The Autobots instantly formed a group and activated their weapon systems as another group of Antibodies headed their way.
However, the femme who arrived with Maximus got in front of the group and grinned with anticipation, holding a rather familiar and haunting cube in her palm.
“Don’t worry! I got it!”
With those words, the femme activated the cube’s mechanism, causing a mechanical suit to engulf her body, enhancing all of her capabilities and providing unparalleled defensive capabilities.
However, to the older Autobots, that suit was nothing short of a nightmare as they remembered the various Deceptions that once used similar suits until the Cons stopped producing this armor due to the massive resource drain they put on the Decepticon supply chains back on Cybertron.
The Cybernought Armor. Created by Shockwave to mimic the functionality of the mythical Apex Armor of the Thirteen Primes.
The moment the Armor unfolded fully, the femme activated the four micro missile launchers on the Armor’s torso, sending out dozens of missiles that took out the majority of the attacking Antibodies, while she used its finger blasters to take out the stragglers, reminding the older Autobots once again why this Armor was so feared during the early days of the Civil War.
“….Just who the hell are you?”
The femme turned and grinned at Arcee.
“The name is Windblade, and I am, well, I guess you can say I am Maximus’s sparkling in a sense.”
That was all that Jetfire and Ironhide needed to hear before they hit the floor unconscious, while the members of Team Elita and Optimus himself just stared at her with a dumbfounded look.
Of course, the one who was the most shocked about this revelation was none other than Megatron, who just stared at the femme with such shock that both his personalities momentarily stopped fighting, showing a strange sight where one of his optics was blood red while the other was deep purple.
However, before they could further question the femme, their attention was drawn back to the fight at hand when they heard Unicron’s roar again, followed by Maximus’s annoyed words.
“Hey, enough of that shouting. I get that you are pissed off and all that, but like I said, you are not my priority at the moment, so I would appreciate it if you just shut up and let me do my job!”
“PRIME! DIE!!”
“…Alright, it is clear that we can’t hold a civil conversation. Very well. Let’s end this.”
With those words, Optimus felt a chill go down his spine as Maximus’s attack pattern instantly changed, going from a display of grace and skill to pure brute force and precise deadliness.
A clear indication that he was no longer Maximus, the leader of the Ascenticons, but the one known as the Monster of Kaon.
Already, Unicron’s Antibodies and his energy blasts were struggling to keep up with Maximus, but now, the evil god’s attacks had no meaning to the bot, who simply cleaved through the army as if they were made of paper.
The younger bots could not help but stare with awe and fear as they saw the display of pure power, where Maximus casually waded through the tide of antibodies and slowly but surely reached the core.
The moment he did, he pulled on the discarded Ununtrium cage and activated its hidden mechanism, sending out a pulse of pure energy that made Unicron scream in pain and made Optimus flinch at how his Matrix became even more active.
As the evil god screamed in pain as his spark was forcefully being sucked into the spherical cage, Maximus did not show any emotion on his face. He simply stared at the ancient energy being as if he were beneath his notice.
It did not take long before the spark was completely trapped within the cage, plunging the chamber into darkness and causing the attacking Antibodies to fall lifelessly to the ground.
“Shockwave, I am ready.”
“Affirmative. Opening Space Bridge.”
Optimus and Megatron, as well as the other older bots, felt panic surge within them at those words.
However, the smile that Maximus sent their way made them freeze in their tracks as chills went down their bodies.
“Don’t worry, I am not going anywhere. I just need to get rid of this annoyance before we get the chance to properly reunite. Besides, there are a lot of things we need to talk about. Particularly about how you idiots destroyed Cybertron the moment you left my supervision.”
The Autobots and Megatron stood there speechlessly as Maximus simply threw the Ununtrium cage through the Space Bridge, its destination known only to him, Windblade, and Shockwave.

Both just getting one punch to the gut after another, and after that a few to the faces and to the rest of them for good measure as a lesson on why they shouldn’t be idiots.
