The Monster of Kaon (Transformers Si): Chapter 60

Fowler and the humans watched worriedly as the live feed of the fight between the new bot that arrived on Earth and the leader of the Decepticons unfolded.

However, the same could not be said for most of the older bots in the room.

“Who do you think will win?”

“Isn’t it obvious? Megatron never stood a chance against Maximus when he was using a severely handicapped artificial body made by Shockwave. What makes you think he can go against his Sire now that he has gained such a bizarre form?”

Miko caught onto the conversation between Elita and Ratchet, making her eyes sparkle, and quickly arrived between the two bots, easily evading Mrs. Darby’s attempts to stop her.

“What you mean to say is, these two fought before!?”

“Countless times.”

The humans flinched as the cold and emotionless voice of Soundwave rang in the room, but Miko was not one to be deterred as she lightly glared at the Decepticon but still spoke.

While the younger Autobots were busy glaring the Cons to death, they still kept an audio reception on the conversation that was started by the human.

“Care to explain?”

“Negative. Not necessary for organics to know-”

“Megatron always wanted control over the Ascenticons, the faction that predates the Autobots and Decepticons.”

Ratchet cut off her former friend, who did not even acknowledge the rude gesture, still watching the screen that showed the brutal showdown between his current leader and former leader.

Elita stared at the fight with nostalgia, watching Maximus practically manhandle Megatron while also speaking about something.

She then turned to the human and continued speaking.

“You remember how I told you we were all, at one time, a single faction?”

“Yeah. The Ascenticons, right?”

“Yes. Well, even before we were called by that name, before my team and I joined them and they went by the name of CRDF, the Cybertronian Rights Defense Force, Megatron always wanted to be the one in control.”

“Typical.”

The Decepticons in the chamber glared at Cliffjumper’s murmur, making the Autobot glare back at them.

Ignoring the silent fight, Elita continued speaking.

“However, to be in control, it was decided that the most important trait needed was strength and skill. Something that nearly all the bots in the organization believed in and made it a tradition. So, it was not uncommon in those days to see the ambitious bot known as Megatronus constantly clash with Maximus.”

“So, a Gladiator match to determine who is the leader? Awesome!”

Elita shook her head at the excitable girl’s words before turning back to the screen, watching the fight unfold, lost in nostalgia just like most of the old guard.

However, what most of the older Cybertronians did not know was that the younger Autobots already had a plan in motion to protect what they perceived as a hostile takeover against the Autobots and their true leader, Optimus Prime.

A plan that was set into motion after Bulkhead sent an emergency transmission to a certain someone to get their band back together.

—————————————————--------------------------------

There is no denying it. My sparkling has grown stronger in the time we were apart.

His strikes, which once concentrated on pure power and straightforward attacks, were now mixed in with cunning faints and sneak attacks that could easily take down most of the others that I know.

His raw power, which he gained thanks to his Constructed Cold body, was enhanced further by his new body that he must have gained after I was exiled from Cybertron.

However, there were still a few things that were missing.

He did not have his shield anymore. The one that he had Shockwave forge for him after I told him about my own shield.

He was also missing his sword, the one that I gifted to him a long time ago.

His alt-mode was different, and so was his arm cannon.

Truthfully, most of his arsenal was different from what he used to have back in the day.

However, he was still just as strong, if not stronger than before.

That is why he is going to lose.

Because he is not the only one who has grown in our time apart.

I dodged the blast from his modified Riot Cannon and ducked underneath his built-in blade’s swipe, getting into his guard and blasting his body with a well-timed punch from my knuckle-dusters.

Instantly, his chest piece was pierced by the spikes on my knuckles and leaked Dark Energon, which was constantly struggling with what I was doing.

However, he did not stay down for long and instantly transformed into a Cybertronian tank, surprising me with the powerful canon shot that pushed me back, but not harming me thanks to my shield’s power.

I did not know he had become a Triple-changer after I left Cybertron. Must be because of Shockwave’s experiments.

“You are just as annoying to fight against as back then, Maximus.”

I smirked at his words as he changed back to bipedal mode.

“What can I say? It is in a fight that I feel the most alive.”

My smirk was matched by his own as I saw the struggle within his optics that kept switching between red and purple.

Good, looks like my plan is working, and he is still unaware.

“Then, shall we take it up a notch?”

I simply smiled at my Sparkling’s words as he got back into a proper and familiar stance, the basis of the Cybertronian martial arts that I had personally trained him in as a youngling.

I responded to his stance with my own, drawing my blade and holding ready for his attack while secretly attaching my inner Oxygenated Energon container to the blade’s hidden chamber.

The moment the thrusters on his legs activated, I engaged my own thrusters on my back, making us move at speeds that would be hard for most Cybertronians to keep up with.

I dodged his blade’s sweep and barely evaded the hidden cannon blast while he, too, avoided my laser’s beam by predicting where I would shoot. However, he could not dodge my blade completely as it grazed his body, leaving a large gash on his torso that once again bled Dark Energon.

What my wayward sparkling did not know was that i had modified my blade to have microscopic needles along its edge that pumped the Oxygenated Energon from the dedicated container I hid within my body straight into his own body the moment my blade even grazed him.

Just like how my knuckle-dusters were also connected to the Oxygenated Energon container and pumped the fluid into the Decepticon’s body with every blow.

Ever since I learned from Primus that this fool had gone ahead and infused himself with Dark Energon, I had been experimenting with a way to forcefully purge it from his system because I knew that this stubborn idiot will not listen to me and will insist that he has mastered the power of the Chaos Bringer’s blood, not knowing that it was slowly corrupting him on a fundamental level.

It was during these experiments that I stumbled upon the answer to this dilemma.

Oxygenated Energon. The variant of synthetic Energon that was developed on Aquatron by the Quintessons, based on the research they stole from the ruins of the Ancients, just like many other things on Cybertron. The same equation that later fell into the hands of Tarn and his group.

This particular variant of Energon was enriched with Oxygen and then mixed with a nanite solution along with a few other materials, making it far more unstable than regular Energon, even more unstable than the prototype versions of my Synthetic Energon that I developed on Caminus.

However, this instability could be ignored solely because of how energy-dense the material is.

But what I am interested in is not its instability or energy density. No, it is its strange aggressiveness towards other forms of Energon, especially towards Dark Energon, which it directly devoured to make more of itself, making it the perfect predator for Dark Energon.

I don’t know what the Quintessons were trying to do by creating this kind of Energon, but what I do know is that Oxygenated Energon is the best way I have found to cleanse this idiotic son of mine off his self-inflicted dark god corruption.

Seriously, can my life ever be simple?

Megatronus chuckled as he saw the Dark Energon flowing out of the various puncture wounds and slashes across his body.

“Not pulling any punches, eh?”

“Of course not. I would never disrespect your desire for a proper combat by holding back.”

For a split second, his smirk turned into a warm smile that reminded me of days long gone.

“Yeah, you are definitely Maximus.”

Once again, we got back into our respective stances and prepared for the fight.

The diplomatic headache with Earth, getting my people back to Cybertron, the pointless civil war that needs to end, and the backup plan for Unicron, all of these things can wait for later.

For now, the only thing that matters to me is this fight and my efforts to get back my sparkling.

—————————————————--------------------------------

At the core of the star system that was once home to Antilla, now nothing more than a debris field surrounding a black hole, a Ununtrium cage floated in the orbit of the Black Hole.

It's prisoner, already preparing a scheme to break out and plunge the universe into chaos.

However, before he could even execute such plans, the playing field would shift eternally.

Near the cage, space and time itself were torn apart as an anomalous rift appeared in reality.

From within this rift, a strange bot who did not match the profile of any known Cybertronian body plan emerged, wielding colossal blades that were continuously shifting between various appearances.

“How curious. I have never seen this kind of outcome in any variation of this multiversal cluster.”

The bot looked at the Chaos Bringer, who was still trapped within the cage, contemplating various plans before settling on one.

With another swing of his blade, time itself was torn asunder as Unicron’s cage disappeared into it, arriving in a pocket dimension that was still connected with reality, keeping the universe from being destabilized thanks to the absence of one of its primordial aspects, but still keeping the Chaos Bringer out of this universe’s reach so that he could never be a threat again.

“This should be enough for now.”

With his work done, Vector Prime, the Prime of Time who watches over the entire multiverse and guards it, swung his blades of Time once again, creating a rift back to his own pocket dimension.

But before he disappeared, his ancient optics stared towards the direction where a little garden world orbited an average star, housing the physical body of the Chaos Bringer.

“I hope we never have to meet. Fortress Maximus. Because if the day ever comes that I am needed in this universe, then I would truly be disappointed in your capabilities.”

With that, the Prime disappeared into the void.

Comments

And the younger autobots are being stupid shits it seems. Is it weird that they're more disobedient and bloodthirsty than the Decepticon younglings? Like WOW. 3000 MORE casualties for the Decepticons? They're proving to be disappointments, even if I like TFP Arcee a lot.
