The Monster of Kaon (Volume 2): Chapter 6
Added 2025-09-11 05:01:03 +0000 UTC“...You know, I should have expected this kind of thing from you. It really was my mistake to think that you would let anomalies like us be.”
The familiar humanoid being of energy hummed at my words as his complex emotions were transmitted to my mind just like the Primus of my home.
“Cybertron is literally my body, child. There was no way I would have missed a Dimensional Rift within my planet, and neither would I have missed how the sparks of you three are significantly different from my children in this reality.”
I chuckled at those words.
“True. Your way of doing things is indeed a little different from my version of you, so it is no surprise that the way Sparks are born here is different from my home.”
I smiled as we floated in the void.
“Just so we are clear, we are not here to harm any of the natives. At least not without proper reasons.”
The Primus of this universe simply snorted at those words before waving his hand, creating a replica of Iacon City’s central spire, where we overlooked the entire city.
“I know. If you really were someone like that, I doubt I would have entrusted you with such powerful relics when you traveled to this universe.”
I nodded at those words.
For some time, we spoke about the many questions that I had about this world, and in return, I answered how my Cybertron was.
However, as I answered his questions, I could not help but ask a question that had come to me during this conversation.
“My Primus said that he and his brother are singular entities across the multiverse with only their physical form changing. In such a case, why do you not already know about me and my world?”
Primus snorted at my question before waving his hand, making the void around us show entire universes floating through the void.
“What your Primus said is an understatement of the truth.”
At my questioning look, he continued speaking.
“Unicron and I are singular beings across the multiverse, that is true. However, that does not mean that all of us share the same mind and memories. Some of us do, but others live their own individual lives. We are aware of our true nature, that we are but a single entity spread across the multiverse, but our ideologies, logic, thought process, and emotions are our own.”
“Think of us as having multiple personalities but a singular Spark, if it makes sense.”
It really did make sense. In simple terms, it was similar to multiple personalities living within a single body.
Shaking my head to get rid of those thoughts, I turned to Primus.
“Makes sense, and I will have to research a bit more on that topic later on. I am also grateful that you are just as open to sharing knowledge as your other personality. Yet, I doubt you brought us down here just for a simple chat and for sharing knowledge, so how about we get to the real reason why we are here?”
Primus nodded at my words, confirming my suspicions.
“Indeed. For your companions, I wanted to see how they differed from my own children and to see what their personalities are like. However, my true interest lay in you.”
With a wave of his hand, he created the images of my Forge, T-Cog, Windblade’s Optics, and Megatronus’s Canon.
“You three hold powerful artifacts that feel similar to the sparks of my first thirteen children, which means that they must have belonged to their counterparts in your world. Am i right?”
“True. The hammer is the Forge of Solus Prime. The T-Cog belongs to Amalgamous Prime. The Optics that my younger Sparkling has belonged to Alchemist Prime. And the Requiem Blaster, the canon in my older sparkling’s hands, belonged to his namesake, Megatronus Prime.”
The hope I felt from him made me wince in sympathy as I knew what question he was going to ask.
“Does that mean that they personally bestowed their artifacts on you three? Are they and their brethren still alive on your world?”
“....Unfortunately, the Age of Primes has long since ended on my Cybertron. We inherited these artifacts after the spark remnants of their original wielders acknowledged us. Except for the Requiem Blaster, which my sparkling only carries because it is too dangerous to be left in the hands of anyone else.”
“...I see. Even in your universe, they meet their end before their time.”
The heartbreak I felt from him once again made me wince.
I hate the Primes, there is no doubt about it. But that does not mean I cannot understand the pain that Primus must be feeling at the moment.
As a Sire myself, I can imagine what he must be feeling at the loss of his children.
Soon, Primus turned back to me and spoke about the real reason why he brought me here.
“Anyways. Originally, I wanted to ask you about how my children’s counterparts were doing in your universe and if you could bring them here. But, I guess I will have to ask you to relay a message to your version of me.”
“Hm?”
“I want you to ask my counterpart for help. Tell him that I ask for his children’s help in saving my own children.”
Saving his people?
“Why not do it yourself? You are far more active compared to my Primus, so shouldn’t it be child’s play for you to protect your children from whatever threat they are facing?”
Primus shook his head at those words.
“I guess my counterpart never told you. There is a reason why I do not make any overt moves or try to protect my children myself.”
“As you probably know, my brother and I were, at one point, a singular entity.”
I nodded at those words.
I had read about it in our historical texts back in my universe, and later on, asked Primus about it, who told me about that being.
Long ago, at the dawn of creation itself, right after the Big Bang, an omnipotent being arrived in our universe from somewhere else in the multiverse.
What was his name? Why did he come to our universe? What was his objective? Not even Primus knows about it.
What he does know is that this nameless entity was so powerful that he started to feel lonely. After witnessing the birth of our universe and foreseeing the birth of various lifeforms yet to come, he started to converse with himself, trying to alleviate his loneliness.
It was this act that triggered the splitting of his psyche into two, resulting in a physical splitting of his essence, giving birth to the two gods that we Cybertronians recorded in our myths.
Primus. The being who accepted the universe for what it was and was content with being a mere observer. Our creator.
And Unicron. The being who wished to ‘fix’ perceived faults in the universe, leave chaos and destruction in his wake, earning him the title of The Chaos Bringer. A title that was later on justified as he further descended into darkness and became an evil entity who only knew destruction.
As I explained our version of the myths, the Primus in front of me nodded in confirmation.
“Due to this very nature, my brother and I are intrinsically linked. So much so that we can sense the awakening of each other.”
“It is the reason why I cannot make any overt moves. Because once I make any drastic moves, Unicron will sense it, resulting in his own awakening, which is not something that any of us want.”
“That makes sense. I guess I will ask my Primus for help. But what exactly do you want help with?”
“I ask that your people help us defeat the Quintessons and the traitor Sentinel.”
For a second, it felt like my brain module crashed as I heard his words before boundless rage consumed me.
‘Quintessons!’
It took me a few seconds before I forcefully suppressed my rage and fell back to my tried and true logical approach.
“Are you talking about a full-on invasion or merely infiltration within Cybertron?”
“The traitor has joined hands with the Quintessons and decided to enslave his own people.”
“Hm. So not a full-blown invasion. That gives me options. Alright. Leave it to me.”
The gratitude I felt from Primus reminded me that, despite his rather serious personality compared to his counterpart, he was still the same Primus I knew. The caring god who saved a helpless human soul and gave it a new life.
With another wave of his hand, Primus revealed the image of a familiar artifact that made me slump in exasperation.
“If you truly help my people, I will bestow the Matrix of Leadership upon you-“
“My Primus asked the same thing of me, so I will give you the same answer I gave him. No thanks.”
With that, I turned around and tried to walk away, before remembering in embarrassment that we are still in his mindscape.
“...So, can you let me out? I need to start planning the downfall of the Quintessons.”
I felt Primus’s raised eyebrow at those words.
“All by yourselves? While I acknowledge that the artifacts of my children’s counterparts are indeed powerful and my children would still be alive if they had ever created such objects for themselves, I doubt they will allow you to fight an entire race.”
I just grinned viciously at those words, and an old hatred started to surface from the depths of my memories.
“Let’s just say, when it comes to destroying Quintessons, there is no one better than me.”

2025-09-12 04:16:01 +0000 UTCIm curious what Maximus Fortress and Megatron would think of the Shattered Glass universe's Primus and Unicron. Their roles are reversed there (like how no matter how evil or good one is, there is always that one speck of good/evil in their heart) and evil Optimus is 100x worse than canon Megatron ever was, heh.
