The Monster of Kaon (Volume 2): Chapter 8
Added 2025-09-13 14:54:31 +0000 UTC“So, we have to deal with that glitch Sentinel all over again? How typical of your luck.”
I just chuckled at Silverbolt’s exasperated words from the other side of the terminal.
“Don’t worry. I’ll deal with him properly this time, along with those pesky Quintessons. All I need is to build a permanent Dimensional Bridge here and connect to the main Bridge on your side.”
“Right. Leave some for us as well, yeah? We have been very tired, dealing with all the bureaucratic mess between Cybertron’s new council and the Humans. Personally, I can’t wait to scrap something with my hands to vent.”
This time, I laughed at those uncharacteristic words.
“You have been losing your upright attitude a lot, Silverbolt. Who do I thank for finally making you realize that there is more to life than your sense of justice?”
The deadpan look he sent me made me laugh again.
“Blame the humans and the younger Autobots for it. Especially those children. They are really bad influences on us. Especially that girl Miko.”
“Hehe! In that case, I guess I’ll thank them when I am done here and I return over there for some rest.”
“Speaking of, how are you going to deal with the Quintessons? Need some backup? I could call Lady Chela to lead a few Titans over there when the Bridge is ready. She has been itching for a fight in the past few weeks.”
“No. I have my own plan.”
I picked up the Forge and showed it to Silverbolt, making him nod as I spoke again.
“I think it's about time I modified my body to match my spark.”
“Can’t you already change your form to whatever you want thanks to your T-Cog?”
“Yes. But Amalgamous’s T-Cog can’t make me increase in size more than my original height. And what I want is to match my body’s size with that of my Titan Spark.”
“I see. So the title of the Last Knight of Cybertron carries more than just soft power?”
I smiled at those words.
He was not the only one who was surprised. When I first learned of this, right after Metroplex gave me his blessing and made me the Last Knight, I too felt shocked that the title not only made me superior to modern Primes like Optimus and outrank literally every living Cybertronian, but the blessing had also mutated my spark into a Titan Spark.
However, this change does come with a few drawbacks.
Especially in terms of my current body’s inadequacy to draw my spark’s full potential.
Thankfully, I was already planning to upgrade my body for a long time, and thanks to the blueprints I got from my world’s Primus, it will be child’s play to modify the plans a little bit and gain a body suitable for my spark.
“Anyways. I’ll inform Shockwave, Soundwave, and Optimus about your call and about your decision. When you call again after completing the Bridge on your side, they should be here to talk to you.”
“That’s good. I’ll call you guys later.”
With that, I disconnected the interdimensional call that was only possible thanks to the blueprints that, once again, were supplied by Primus to me, since Interdimensional Physics and literal divine artifacts were out of my area of expertise.
Not to say that I am not trying to understand them, because I have been allocating a part of my processor to learn it all the time, but I am still a novice in comparison to what Primus and probably Unicron can do with their knowledge.
Just then, Megatronus and Windblade returned from their patrol and landed beside me.
“The area is clear, Maximus. There is nothing nearby that has a spark. Well, aside from Mechanimals that is.”
Megatrunus simply nodded at Windblade’s words as he stared at the Terminal, realizing that I was talking to the others back home.
He hesitated for a bit, probably wanting to ask a certain question, before he dropped it.
How could I not know what my idiotic son was thinking about?
“Good. I just spoke with Silverbolt. Once I am done with my modification, I’ll build the counterpart for the Dimensional Bridge in orbit of Luna-1. After that, I’ll go deal with the Quintessons and that Traitor, Sentinel.”
Then, I smiled mischievously at Megatronus.
“Also, next time we talk, Orion will be there to take the call, so make sure you are there to speak with them, Megatronus.”
He grimaced, acting as if he was not interested. But I knew that, deep down, he still cared about his dearest friend. It was why I deliberately mentioned my conversation with Silverbolt since I knew Megatronus would refrain from asking about it.
Soon, we walked away from the ruined city that we found on the surface, heading towards an area that I felt was safe enough.
“Alright. Let’s begin. Windblade, Megatronus. Move some distance away.”
Without a word, they moved a few dozen miles away, knowing exactly what I was planning to do since I had already told them about it.
It was only when I was sure that they were far away from the splash zone that I began.
The first step was to concentrate on my T-Cog and return myself to my true form.
Instantly, my size shot up to my original height, towering over every bot that was not a Combiner. Even then, I easily towered over most Combiners from my world, save for Orthea and Bruticus.
Then came the next step.
With practiced ease, born from my thorough study of my own code and nature, I channeled my Titan Spark’s energy into the Forge of Solus Prime, making it whirr to life.
The ground, made out of an unstable version of Cybermatter that this universe's Primus created for himself, shifted and started rising.
Slowly, like creeping vines, they started crawling up my body with each pulse of the Hammer.
In a few minutes, I felt my vision fade as my body was completely cocooned within the Cybermatter. The only thing visible to me was my own spark within my mind’s vision and the steady pulses of the Forge and the T-Cog.
At that moment, it felt like I could hear this world’s Primus’s voice, whispering something, but I could not make it out, nor was I free enough to try to listen clearly.
I had long since wanted to upgrade my body, making it so that I was no longer weak. No longer slow, missing the chance to save my loved ones, too weak to protect what I cared about.
I was greedy for a perfect form. One that would make it so that I would never have to lose anything ever again.
It was from this greed and desire that the plans that Primus and i designed together were born.
And yet, it was only after I arrived here and finally had the time to think clearly and reflect that I realized that my idea was wrong from the very beginning.
A single bot, no matter how powerful, cannot hope to hold back an army of enemies, just like a single star cannot hope to hold back the inevitable heat death of the Universe.
However, if said bot had an army by its side? An army of unfeeling drones that would act as a tide of steel? Just like how the Quintessons were back home?
After all, it was their armadas of automated ships and armies of mindless drones that drove Cybertronian life to near extinction back then, and that's why they were completely crippled and swiftly defeated after I sabotaged their AI systems, drones, and automated warships.
If I were to gain a similar advantage without the defects, there would be very few things that could stop me from protecting those I care about.
An unstoppable being that would be an entire army by himself.
That is the kind of power I want. The kind of power that will enable me to wipe out the Quintessons as a threat in their entirety, and probably help me out in my future travels as well.
And I knew exactly how to achieve this goal, thanks to my world's Primus’s help, as well as my human memories.
I don’t know how long I remained in the cocoon, lost in my mind, half meditating and half designing my body. But soon enough, when I felt like everything was ready, I opened my optics and saw more than I ever saw.
My T-Cog and the Forge, now merged into my spark so that they would now become a part of me forevermore, pulsed as one, shattering the cocoon around me.
I knew that outwardly, there was no change to my form or color scheme, exactly as I intended.
The only difference would be my size, which was now equal to Metroplex.
But internally? It was a completely different story.
With a thought, diagnostic data appeared in my mind, checking everything and giving me the green light across the board.
‘Time for a little test.’
My right arm shifted as usual, yet, instead of my laser cannon that had already become a legend by this point back home, what appeared was a nanite projector.
Countless patterns, algorithms, logic circuits, blueprints, and ideas flashed past my mind before I chose the simplest one in my databanks as the subject for this test.
My internal systems activated nearly instantly. The freshly formed Internal Cybermatter Generator pulled Energon from my colossal containers, creating Cybermatter at ridiculous rates and then sending it to the Nanite Projector.
The projector then used this Cybermatter to create nanites that took their own payloads of Cybermatter into the atmosphere while the Forge within my spark supplied Anomalous Energy and blueprints for the nanites to form the object that I wanted.
Within a matter of seconds, what stood in front of me was a Basic Troopship from my Cybertron. Fully functional and ready for deployment.
Then, I reversed the process, watching as the nanites quickly devoured the ship, reducing it to its base components, which would then be turned into Cybermatter by the Forge’s energy.
With the test complete, I could not help but grin.
‘Let’s see how the Quintessons handle a Commander and the tactics of sheer number.’
But before that, I need to establish a Dimensional Bridge. However, my internal Cybermatter Generator will not be enough for building it.
Looking around at the ground below me, I stole another idea from my favourite game series from when I was a human.
“And so, a Commander puts down a miner, and the galaxy changes forever.”
I always wanted to say that! Hehehe~

To be fair I always did find the bay verse version more aesthetically pleasing to the eye even if they are if I’m not mistaken the weakest version
