Duckstation - Webp Format
Added 2025-08-03 10:39:44 +0000 UTCSeems the packs that need all the duplicate files are causing issues due to the massive amount of files. I've converted them to webp and testing now. Size is reduced and there is no loss in quality as I did a lossless conversion.
Texture loading settings:
Preloading texture replacements should be safe for PS1, as long as you have enough VRAM, so you can tick it.
Also tick Enable Texture Cache, Enable Texture Replacement, Enable VRAM Write Replacement.
Do not tick Always Track Uploads for bigger packs, as this causes massive performance drops in these games.
I will upload the webp packs today, so far it's only for the two Harry Potter games and Time Crisis: Project Titan as they were the ones causing issues.
