We know they survive but yeah she is screwed. And she deserves. She is attempting to murder three innocents cubs to validate the delusions of an sadistic fanatic ( Zira) Even if she backed out or got remorseful at the last minute she still plotted to kill them, lured the cubs here, and was in the process of pushing the rocks to murder the cubs. All of this is her own fault and because of her actions. Her best defense would be “I backed out at the last second while in the process of pushing the rocks”. Now I am just waiting for the people who try to defend Dotty when Kiara shows up and ( I am guessing school her) and try to spin it as Kiara being horrible or something. (The Draco in leather pants treatment as tv tropes calls it)Hopefully that does not happen

Still not a very good disguise, as her “evil eye” is a dead giveaway. Whether the cubs actually die or not, she might get exiled for attempting to murder them even if in the end it was an accident (which will make her feel like she was dealt an unjust punishment and hate them more). But in the end, it doesn’t matter whether she stopped and didn’t mean for it to happen at the last second. Because the REASON she stopped was not “Oh these are just cubs and are innocent of their parents ‘crimes’”. It was not “This is actually evil and I don’t want to be evil” and it was not even “this is a bad idea.” Her reason was because she related to one of them after overhearing (by chance) one of the cubs pour their heart out and it sounded similar to her feelings as a cub. Had the discussion been ANYTHING ELSE she probably would have just kept pushing.
