Oh definitely! Still an amazing scene but man I wish the artists had more time. Given I don't know the constraints and work environment, I have nothing but respect for them.
2022-02-12 17:29:38 +0000 UTCI know the film you were talking about at 33m. And yeah, it was way, way overblown on the dramatic tension. Not just that scene either, but that scene had the same effect on me that you described. I agree the sound design on the rumbling could have been better. I think they could have done more with silence, especially. Because just dropping all sound prior to a massive eruption of sound really increases the impact. Instead it was just kind of like a continuous sound. The visuals were amazing though. Hard scene to sound design though, tbf. I think given how long this scene has been built up it's hard to live up to everyone's expectations.
