Happy Mother's Day!

I hope everyone is having a good day with their mom today! It's been a while since I shared a recipe, so I thought it could be fun to share what I'll me making my mom for dinner today: Shrimp tacos! I'm also making carne asada tacos, so kind of a surf and turf taco, I suppose. So lets get to it!

Shrimp

2lbs shrimp

1 1/2 tsp chili powder

1 tsp minced garlic

1/2 tsp paprika

1/2 tsp cumin

1/2 tsp onion powder

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp coriander

1/4 tsp orange zest

Shell and devein the shrimp if needed, add spices, toss to mix, cook in a pan. Not too difficult, the hard part is making sure to have all the ingredients :P

Crema

Sour Cream

Lime zest and juice

cilantro

garlic powder

salt and pepper

This nice little sauce for the tacos is a lot more by ear (or by tongue) than the shrimp. A sauce is a lot easier to wing, and this should go great with both the shrimp and the carne asada.

Pico De Gallo

Tomatos

Onion

Cilantro

Jalepeno

Lime Juice

Tomatoes go great on tacos, so why not go the whole way and make some simple pico? Dice the tomatoes, salt, and let them drain. Dice the onion fine, same with the cilantro and jalepeno. You can ditch the pepper if you don't like spice, or add spicier ones if you do like spice. Mix together and hit with some more lime juice and put in the fridge until ready.

And there you are! Get tortillas, add whichever meat you like, some pico, some crema, and probably some cheese, too. I hope you all have a happy mother's day!

Instructions unclear, shrimp is now frying rice. As an aside, what if hullbreak got a shrimp scion and it got the chef title?
