Recorded on: December 12th, 2025

I joined on this book, and thank God I'm not the only one that couldn't get through it. I'd much rather read literally anything else.

This was the first book club I read along with and Aidan is right this book was a stinker 😭

Guy Fernando

Eye opening episode!! Made me think about propaganda's job being basically creating a common knowledge that would serve the ideology... wild. Very cool, thank you guys. Really enjoyed it even if I didn't read the book.

Yev

Would love to keep going in this direction of more thought provoking books Ina philosophical or societal way possibly even religious and such. Would love to hear your guys opinions and there’s plenty of great books

Connor

First the jd Vance book now communist manifesto and what next ? Mein kampf? Anyway love the video always great to hear your discussion.

Connor

Doug and Aiden thinking a book about common knowledge is common knowledge is good irony.

JTrain

Based on the last premium episode and you guys reading the communist manifesto, you guys should read technofeudalism.

This book reminds me of when I first moved out into a house that already had 4 other guys living there. I went to lunch with two of them and asked jokingly if the one roommate always had his asscrack sticking out like he did the first day I met him. That opened the flood gates for the other 3 roommates to complain about him over the next few months as insufferable for various reasons. Apparently they’ve been living with him for 2 months and all felt that wY about him but no one ever said anything to each other. This book made me realize I created common knowledge about all of us not liking that singular roommate

Okay I read the book in full over one weekend when the book was announced so maybe i don't remember the boring parts. But legitimately it's probably my 3rd favorite book of all-time at least when it comes to sociology. it really helped me understand game theory better and social situations much better. I learn more from the book than I felt bord reading the book.
