Hey fam,
I am starting of October with a new inspiration support video. On this one I try to shed some light on how I set up a sort of mid/side i.e. stereo field strategy at the example of a section from my "Noisia - The Hole Pt.1" remix.
I hope this might be inspirational for you to try yourself having a more "rich" and "mature" mid side structure in your own production. I do believe it creates a cooler contrast in music. Not every element or sound got to have width imo. To me it opens up a hole dimension when you decide which elements do actually happen in stereo, how much, in which frequency and also when side signal are coming and going over time. I feel this approach has more style then trying to max out sides or width on every element allover the track. Not saying one can't or shouldn't do that here. To me that would be just a very dancefloor and impact orientated approach. And music to me is more than that, and you can combine all worlds. In the end it's a personal preference. I just feel music has more vibe if taken care of that aspect a little more.
Next up on here, an unofficial Phace bootleg just for you exclusively :D
