Here we are, at the next step of our roadmap! Once whatever bugs are ironed out, I'm getting to work on 0.9.
With 0.9, it's planned to introduce more content and a few new gameplay system, among the most important ones:
A quite popular system, now getting into Slimechemy. As part of my initiative to not try and force written story out, my plan is to make the "story" more emergent, by allowing you to take NPCs out for a stroll, an event and a scene (if you're close enough). And introduce some agency to NPCs, where they can initiate events on their own.
Dead videogame stare is a real buzz-kill, so there's a real need for that little eye movement, that blink, that glance. And, of course, bedroom eyes!
If we're going to take NPCs out, we need more NPCs! Look out for a poll to determine what NPC is going to come with 0.9
The goal is to have an inside/outside finish animation for every scene.
Writing is hard, but we still need writing. There's no plan for a novel, but adding more story and custscenes is on the list.
Now, as per usual, there will be tons of little unplanned improvements as I go back and forth over the animations, effects and code.
I'm also planning to include some sound effects, as you might've noticed the audio options in the menu. however, I'm not sure if having button click sounds without any kind of music is going to be better than having no sounds at all.
Full audio is planned for 1.0, so this is a bonus goal that might get pushed to 1.0.
