Also I thought about why my DIY AC/DC current clamp did not work very well at higher frequencies and I think I got a theory. Of course using another ferrite core does improve the result, like shown in the video. But I think using 2 hall effect sensors like the commercial version does, would also have helped in some way. This way we could could get rid of noise signals by simply comaring the output of both sensors and creating something like a subtraction. This would of course require a more complex circuit, a more stable clamp head design and lots of testing. So not sure if that is worth to some people but I think this could be the next step in improving such an AC/DC current clamp. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the video :-)
