MHA ended so here are my thoughts!

Heeey!!

you know, MHA literally was the one story that make me be where i am now if you think about it, so i'm really fond of this story, anyone that says is perfect is just wrong, but it's good, i liked it.

I think all started with that davi animation from a panel of the manga (when he was on the back of the truck about to kill the sand hero extra guy i think?! i don't remember even haha) from there i drifted to nsfw and here i am. from porn parodies to actual original/oficial hentai adaptations... and parodies!

BUT YOU ARE READING THIS FOR THE STORY NOT FOR ME, i like it too.

i like the entire thing, i hate endeavor, i love his older son because he hated him as much as i did lol (he is one of the characters i forgot to mention was my favorite too, he doesn't care about being morally superior, or family bonds but rather love his family so much that he can fathom forgive what his father do to all of them, and i more than respect that) the todoroki plot took over the whole show for me, and in a way i hoped endeavor died too (more on that later) but i don't like that Rei is still alongside him at the end, you know, after being abused, r*ped basically, and traumatized to the point of hospitalization, to still be with endeavor is... what an abuse victim does, which seeing it end like that, it's not a happy ending, with in a way i'm pretty sure it wasn't the intent, so bitter sweet, which is fine, not perfect wich is realistic.

bakugo should have died, seeing what you guys said about it i have to agree that it was cool getting up again and again BUT don't kill him to then revive him, just beat him up. edgeshot literally died sacrificing himself with a farewell and the backstory bit....... but then it's alive? like minutes after? i don't like it, not that edgeshot did anything after that so there was no reason to keep HIM alive if he's going to save/revive bakugo.

I liked that most league of villains members died, it's also realistic, the ending with toga would either be ruined by being thrown on prison or nonsensical if let free, so she dying is the best outcome, she died happy anyways. same for shigaraki, BUT still think deku should have lost his arms definitelly, it has a lot of symbolisms and it was already a current theme, not using his arms too much or else. he lost them in a cool way, recovers them by eri's horn that for whatever reason now works like that? not by touching the target or by touching the horn but by stabing the horn you are touching to do the rewind? and what do you do with the arms after anyways? it was like a final blow and that's it, i still think it should have been a headbutt and that's it, no limbs means almost nothing (more considering the ending) just look at mirko. bionic arms deku could have been cool to see.

quirckless deku in the end is nice, i'd say he could have still be kept as a teacher only, there was no need to make him go back to be a hero, making it yet another bitter sweet ending i think fit better, although allmight's figth with afo wasn't my favourite at least horikoshi reused that for something comprehensible like the super suit for deku.

i LOVE the lack of romance focus at the end, i'm not watching a romance, but a story of superheroes, plus, we all know how that went, seeing it lemillion times, no need to waste pages on that, that's my opionon on it of course, the little we got is more than enough.

Shoji's and Koda sudden plot felt rushed although made sense, i remember reading that horikoshi wanted to get into shoji's story but didn't knew when, i think this is what happens if you have to not live to put out an weekly episode, so i bet he didn't planned it like this... Plus reading the last episode... WHAT ABOUT TOKOYAMI?! he's too a mutant isn't he?! he's a damn bird human, yet he wasn't involved in any of it lol

I like aoyama's twist, and his ending, just nice call back to all his strange behaviour since the usj incident when he literally ask everyone if they knew where he was, so obvious yet didn't supsect him until the cheese arc, yet dismissed it as a bait from horikoshi, well done lol.

from the rest we might or not agree in certain characters but, more death, i needed horikoshi to kill bakugo, endeavor, edgeshot, earser, almight and probably a bunch more that just kept going that later did nothing either way, would have been powerfull moments. also i swear i saw crust (the shield guy) in a recent episode but the guy died when shigaraki woke up, i swear i saw him, but i might be wrong

Also... NO GROWN UP ERI?!?! HORIKOSHI. 1/10 manga.

i thought maybe he didn't do that because of us nsfw community lol, but then i remember this is the guy that put mineta saying that to eri back then. and that i also remember reading that mineta exists only so horikoshi could add fanservice moments, he probably just forgot, or hate us.

(update, grown up eri was shown, i just didn't registered it lol)

I hoped there was going to be more reference material for adult versions, although all looks basically the same, i might have to wait for some of his sketches, or to the end of the anime for more. though i'll be trying to make stuff with those designs either way right now i have to focus on the pokemon series.

all in all, i liked the manga, not life changing manga, but i'm not looking for a life changing manga in terms of story... though, it... it did changed my life like i explained at the beginning... i feel like nowadays people are obsesed with deep stories that make you depressed to then find this new way of seeing things in life through characters depeblopement and themes of depression and overcomming how your dad that left you to buy milk... or something, i just want a fun coherent thing to read, and it's what i got, ever less fanservice as the story went on (which didn't have much to begin with)... good stuff. even with mha i started finding stuff i no longer personally tolerate in stories anymore, so i changed from when i started reading back then which is fascinating for myself to reflect on haha, i don't like anime or manga anymore, my dress up is the last one on the list for my active readings AND IT'S ONE DAMN STEP WAY I SWEAR TO GOD, FUKUDA DON'T YOU DARE DO THAT-so when it comes to content, it will sumarize into what i have already done, including those stories i droped like nagatoro or komi for instance, or my own original content. there's a lot that i stared to just hate from a creator and consumer perspective that i have thought about telling you about but it's ultimatedly so of topic and irrelevant i prefer not to do so, if i do a good enough job you will see it though, through my future SFW games or ideas and my NSFW ideas, to give you an idea of this change, is in part what i said about the squirting shot in the previous pokemon post. i can actually say that i will no longer consume what, in comparision, i create, which is funny or straight dumb to think about lol. (i'm also in the process of just opening twitter to post content and n ot even scrolling through my timeline, whish me luck) i love reading your comments and replying when i have something to say but besides that, nothing else... (i hope we see grown up eri goddamit)

I haven't watched/read too much of the story to engage in a conversation, though I did read through the last chapter. I just hope that you continue working with these characters because you're so good.

I think it turned out surprisingly good given that Horikoshi really seemed to be struggling with the physical demands of weekly issues for a long time. I'm also happy he didn't feed any shippers, I hate that shit at the end of shonen series where everyone marries their high school crush for some reason; nobody does that in real life anymore! The Endeavor subplot was so good too, I like that Natsu basically wanted nothing to do with Touya or Endeavor after it. Rei sticking by Endeavor is probably some Japanese culture thing, I dunno. He's burnt to a crisp and genuinely changed so I could see Rei forgiving him but like you said it feels more like an abuse victim still being an abuse victim Also I never actually liked Nagatoro but I skimmed the ending of it and the last part of it was actually pretty sweet/cute. It was just kind of an annoying one note premise that got dragged out too long.

Lol yeah that was unfortunate, there’s a bunch more dumb moments like that comming up (like the edgeshot one and the deku one about to come) though i like aoyama despite that

Honestly, Deku was the most cringe part for me. Especially when he finds out his friend was the one sabotaging them the whole time and he's still asking him to take his hand. (He was in handcuffs). I cringed so hard at that. Just let characters go. Especially side characters.

Double Dipper

Yeah I think it concluded really well. It had its ups and downs and I competely agree with there needing to be more deaths (Bakugo, All Might) for some impact on the story and characters personally League of villians were handled really well i thought, wish deku and shigaraki could've had a longer talking moment near the end of shiggy's death, felt their last moment was too short I DID ALSO love the lack of romance as well, I love the deku and uraraka dynamic of course, since it has always been teased between them but horikoshi has never brought a intimate moment between 2 characters in MHA and should of been expected honestly. I could only imagine what kinda of chaos that would've been community lol so glad Hori played it safe, but overall really enjoyed the ending. If it wasn't for MHA and your nsfw work of it, I probably would've never have came across you haha. Can't wait to see what you start making with adult verison girls once more material comes out (hopefully soon)

Flamebat

took me a while to notice deku's mask in ochako, i'm so slow for some reason in this one i didn't even noticed eri until one of you pointed it out lol

GodoyG

I will say Spinner's and Shigaraki's gamer moments were golden, and was how I was able to convince a friend to watch XD That and Izuku's idea for a manga was perfect. And I agree, both with Season 2 and the ships. I think it was for the betterment of the series that he didn't confirm it, but left enough clues that 2+2=4 haha. I wasn't upset with it at all. Especially Ochako getting that mask like Izuku's. That's adorable.

cringe as in what preciselly? it does has a lot of things i didn't like myself (like star and stripes and what i said in the post) i cringed in my villian academy animation so i stopped there for the anime

GodoyG

bro i missed that lol thanks for pointing it out!

GodoyG

would make sense, after all she looked older the first time she appeared than the last one haha

GodoyG

Timeskip was only 8 years, so not enough time to see an adult Eri. We still got to see how she looks around high school age in one panel.

happytimes

I'm an anime only enjoyer and I had to drop season 7 because there's so much cringe. I don't think i could get through another 2 seasons for the show to finish out. I really loved this show, too. It was one of the shows that got me into anime way back when.

Double Dipper

Long ago, I saw a headcanon about Eri staying short due to all of those horrible experiments. It's similar to Baby Doll from Batman.

keondramcintyre

i like spinners ending honestly, plus he and shigaraki went the whole story doing gamer references, the fact that deku suggested the manga idea is just perfect haha also i started watching on season 2, that damn tournament arc did a lot for the popularity of the sotry haha i feel like the only ship confirmed was deku and ochako, because of the symbolisms with the sticks, besides that, fandom ships aside, i don't think it was needed a confirmation for each since the canon ones where pretty obvious even if they weren't shown at all. at the very least each canon ship kept flirting until adults lol (or for a special episode)

GodoyG

Seeing an older Eri would’ve been nice, but either way she is still cute

bluerice

It wasn't a life changing manga for me, but I loved it. My friend got me to watch it when Season 2 (the Sports Festival arc) was still going on and I remember getting hooked pretty early on. I am also happy that none of the ships were confirmed, but they were all hinted at, so am sure the fanon will take care of that. And I knew that they wouldn't kill Bakugo, he's like the most popular character for like 3 or 4 popularity polls. Although there were a lot of people I wish died, even though I love them (All Might, Gran Torino, Edgeshot), am happy that the villains got a satisfying ending, except Spinner. My poor boy XD Although I really do love how Torino gave Izuku his cape, that was really nice. It also makes me very happy that Izuku became a teacher. It fits his character so well. And while I can see the argument that he shouldn't have gone back to hero fighting like that, the moment I saw Iron Might, I figured that Izuku was either gonna keep a quirk, get a quirk, or use that.
