YOU DIDN'T SAW THIS ONE COMING, DID YOU?!1 with less time to work for now i think the best option is to start posting WIPs again, so here's one from splatoon, the true OGs know this is not my first time doing something with splatoon, i did a Marina illustration once... BUT this one is with a more accurate proportions, just how i like it. (i no longer like my marina illustration... like everything i do after a week) .... And since this is related to nintendo, i'll use this oportunity to ask you about the pokemon ZA trailer. As you know, i have been trying to stay away from socials, so i don't know how big of a topic this is, but for the little amount i'm in socials i haven't seen anyone talking about it but complimenting it. By pure logic i asume the game might just happen 100% inside the city, perfectly fine with me, and this should be to save on resurces or whatever, but talking with a friend about it, something bugged me about the lighting in the game, and he pointed out the fact that pretty much all the buildings except some few are 100% flat, like, it's a cube, with a texture of windows. They are everywhere, and it's not like they are just windows, which would look bad but hey, you might not notice it while playing. They made textures with balconies on the windows, AND THEY ARE FLAT. what was bugging me about the lighting was the lack of shadows on the buildings, because there's none, there's nowhere where for the light to cast a shadow over. The lastest game i have played in the switch quite a few years fnow was Pokémon swsh, and i swear to you they have proper buildings. What's going on?! I can even remember seeing proper building textures in sv, how can you release a trailer like that?! come on now! this is ps1 standards, like, i know they made their money elsewhere but put some damn love into your games... PS: nothing to do with the workers, we all know most of them do all they can with the time given to them.
