Did a tasting with a Rep from Filey Bay. Great efforts for a young whisky. Enjoyable juice. The IPA comes from its sister beer brewery down the road. They share casks and finishes and a lot of the barley for both comes from their neighbouring fields. I’m also lucky to have wire work’s distillery nearby. They do seem to make the STR work

This is a really informative review for people who haven’t come across Filey Bay. Another English distillery worth exploring is The English Whisky Company, located in Norfolk, who were the first to be established in the modern era, 15 years ago. Their whiskies are also enjoyable- I’ve tried ‘The English’ (the entry level product), the rum finish and am currently enjoying the 11 yr old, which is an annual release.
