Issue #10 update and future of Mega Visions

Greetings once again!

We hope this message finds you well, and we’d like to apologize for the lack of updates during the past several months. I think it’s safe to say the entire Mega Visions staff has had some very trying times over the past year, but we want to reassure you that we’re still focused on Mega Visions, more now than ever before.

With that said, we would like to take some time to provide you an update on the current status of Mega Visions and Issue #10.

As you know, work has been well underway on Issue #10, and we had hoped that we would have it completed by the end of the year. However, our art director Rob “Sketchcraft” Duenas has unfortunately had to step down from his position as Mega Visions art director to pursue other opportunities in his professional career. Most recently, he provided concept art and character design for Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

To say Sketch was instrumental in the design and visual style of the magazine is an understatement, and we’re incredibly proud of what we accomplished with him. We sincerely wish him the best, and we know you might be bummed to hear about Sketch leaving, but there’s a strong chance you haven’t seen the last of his art to grace the pages of Mega Visions.

Having said all that, Mega Visions isn't going anywhere!

In fact, we’re more excited about our future than ever before. When we first set out to create Mega Visions more than five years ago, we dreamed about the possibility of creating a SEGA-focused print magazine. While we finally made the move from a digital, interactive magazine to a print magazine, the final form still wasn’t exactly what we envisioned.

Now, we’re finally at the point where we can really push ourselves creatively to take Mega Visions to the next level. Of course, there will be some significant changes coming to the magazine, both in terms of visual style and the kind of content you read in each issue.

Currently, the Mega Visions staff is hard at work redesigning and reshaping the magazine into Mega Visions 3.0. The new version will remain focused on SEGA content while also expanding our coverage to include more of the retro gaming community we all love so much.

We can’t wait to share more information with you in the coming weeks and months, but right now, we have to get back to work on this next issue!

Keep the Dream Alive,
Mega Visions Team
