Here’s a WIP for a new Resident Evil animation I’m making. I’ve been long overdue for a RE video. So far, I have the main loops done for the three main poses that’ll be featured in the animation. But there’s still a ton of stuff left to animate, including an additional fast loop I need to make for pose 3, intro and climax anims, fidget anims for each pose, and scene/pose transitional anims.

For the loops shown here, I’ve tried a different approach than I normally do. I’ve baked overlay animation into the loops themself instead of adding it in later. Adding overlay animation has always been cumbersome for me because the frame range for a whole scene is too large for me to handle. But baking the overlay into the loop makes the frame range more reasonable, and it allows me to add more detailed overlay animation than what would realistically be possible.

Also tried making a preview GIF for the first time. I was almost ripping my hair out learning how to do it in Photoshop, but I think I got it. The attached files have the WIP at 30fps 1080p.
