After reading people's thoughts I think I have a direction I want to go on
Added 2025-10-29 09:20:48 +0000 UTCI think Ive been feeling upset about my art not being good enough so ive been clinging to the idea of making simple pics until im "better" and that idea is keeping me from trying too hard, you know?
All of a sudden pics I loved to draw like comics and family stuff just feels like something I cant do so Ive been trying to do cute simple pics.
And I think you all agreed with me for the most part that the pics are fun but they arnt nearly as fun or creative as it used to be.
I think Ive hit that period of being an artist where not EVERYTHING I do is an improvement and I really need to focus a little more on how I want to do things and not let things I cant do hold me back now that im good enough to know I cant do something lol.
And I think the fear of not being able to do something is also feeding into my depressies quite a lot because I rely on making art for you to make me happy and if I cant do that I get so so sad <3
So I think for the next few pics I want to go more complicated. 3+ people mayhaps. Something good and spicey, more family stuff. Sound good to you? <3

Also if you really want to progress from stand-alone artwork to comics, it seems obvious to me that exercises with all possible interactions between the characters, many perspectives, and different backgrounds are quite natural step to do. Storylines just require it.
