That's right, we're spending all month getting into, and getting YOU into, the hallowed horror season and we're wasting no time at all! So let's check out what's happening in the WHMu this week:

Tomorrow, the 2025 Halloween Spooktacular kicks off in classy fashion as we talk about a 1990s-made Stephen King adaptation, Needful Things! Plenty of Max von Sydow and Ed Harris impressions abound, so strap in for a wild ride. This movie is totally bonkers and you can hear us talk all about it on here AD-FREE at the $8 tier and up!
Then on Thursday, we're super-stoked to finally release this hilarious new Once In A Lifetime episode where we're talking about the made-for-TV horror drama, The Haunted! Yes, this is a secret Ed & Lorraine Warren movie that we thought was seasonally appropriate. In the film they're assisting the Smurls, who we also see them save in the latest Conjuring film, however this ridiculous little movie shows us a very different Ed and Lorraine. So be sure to check this episode out, it's a super hilarious movie that made for another great OIAL convo. You can get the episode on here at the $10 tier and up!
And then on Friday, we're heading into the weekend with... nothing. WINK WINK. If you're a Patreon supporter at the $8 tier and up, definitely don't check back here on Friday... WINK WINK. Just listened to "Needful Things" WLM. It was one of the books I read in my King phase. I remember saying to myself that it read like a movie script - I've never seen the movie, but I was surprised to hear your take that there was too much going on in it - I'll chalk that up to first time director. 2 things that seem to be different from the book: -The baseball card kid doesn't die, or at least it is left ambiguous. -Polly Chalmers, the lead played by Bonnie Bedelia doesn't sleep w/ Sydow's Devil character, she gets a pretty cool chapter where she figures out his game through detective-like deduction, and then fights the giant spider thing that hatches from her necklace to death - including biting off one of its legs!
