MNL Progress Report #95

Hey there, nudies! Got some great stuff to show tonight, like the full implementation of our dialogue UI! Look at it up there!

This took a surprising amount of work to do, but it's all functional and it looks great! Anne's UI elements have really tied this whole thing together, and Invertex went the extra mile making it shine even brighter. The grey backdrop behind the possible options, the animation of the selection highlight... It just looks so good! I couldn't be happier with how this is turning out.

Be sure to check out our Discord server to see a longer, HD video of the whole thing in action if you can! Unfortunately, still no way to upload proper video here yet.

And that's not all! Bear has begun building out the next major area - the town square, the heart of Culo Culo Town itself!

Still veeery early, but this is the layout we'll be going with. The left side might look a bit empty compared to the right, but that's because a big ol' firetruck is going to be parked over there.

We still have a few more visuals left to make for the reworked demo, but they're coming along quickly and nicely. Check out this little WIP shot from Anne!

How mysterious! I wonder what's going on here? Very nice angle, though~

Anne's involvement has given me a lot of new stuff to work with, so I'm pretty deep into what will absolutely be the last and final rewrite of the game script definitely for real this time. At the very least, the previous versions of the script have been a great foundation to build from. We've been able to add a lot of new elements to this prologue that I think you're really going to like. And I imagine we can start building cutscenes for it within the next couple of weeks. It's time to hustle!

That's all for now, though! Thank you all so much for your support. See you next week!

Aw, but what about those of us who are paid supporters but don't have access to the Discord server?

Double Deadline

I wish I could give you a release date, but I can't as of now. We still need to implement the options menu, finish up a few illustrations, and build our cutscenes (which should go much faster than it did back on Unity). Our main interaction mechanics are now implemented, our animations are done, music is ready to be inserted. There's a light at the end of this tunnel, but I can't tell you how far away it is. That's why I make sure to have a weekly update for you so we can show you that things are progressing, even if it might be slow. Apologies, and thank you for your patience!

Don’t mean to be rude but how much longer until a demo exactly?
