YO FOLKS! Sorry for the silence! Been on the hand-mend for a bit! more on that later.

Let's start with A Word from Vixel!
------------

3/4 update:

Happy new week, floofs!

I've been working on readying our upcoming game build and playtesting stuff for the Adventures overhaul, which improves how the game handles side quests. Still a few polish details & bugs to work out - when stuff is running right we're aiming to get the build out. Will keep you posted, have a nice week! <3

------------

On my end - Sooooooooome good and bad news!

The bad news - WELP. My thumb is thoroughly having an issue, so it's gonna take a bit more time to figure out. I've been on and off dealing with it for about a month now, but after seeing the hand therapist/hand specialist, I've gotten more info on what's going on. It's nothing too crazy or unique, a pretty common issue for thumbs really, called CNC hypermobility, basically the joint moves around too much, causing inflammation and shenanigans. Basically the heal is long-term lots of rest. Like, a couple months.

Now I'm not thumbless, but for maximum healing I need to immobilize it A LOT. I've got varying splints to aid in this, ranging from a good amount of motion to totally immobilized. While I'm healing, I'm still feeling a good amount of random pain around the area. I guess when things are healing, the nerves are extra sensitive. So I think I really gotta just give it ample time to heal, maybe another week or so of heavy immobilization. THEN I can start working on it more with the physical therapy stuff, while still going really light on it for weeks after.

As time goes on I can continue to use less obtrusive splints and get more use out of the thumb. But as it is, typing this will cause random pains even though I don't use my thumb. Just like, the neighboring muscles/tendons moving around a lot can aggravate it. Pretty annoying!

SO, The past few days I've been taking it really easy. Kinda just doodling here and there if even. I've got a decent set up on Clip Studio to still get some drawing done but using the touch/gesture controls. It's definitely not ideal for any serious work, but it's fine for some scribbling! Same with the Ipad.

BUT, Earlier last week, I finished some huge milestones! I can say EVERY LOCATION is finished (enough) for Act 4! Art-wise. Nothing is in engine lol. But this was a HUUUGE amount of assets that have been in the works for over a year (counting visual development). It took about 2.5 months to go from general ideas to 8 fully finished huge rooms that looks pretty awesome. I mentioned before, I think this alone is probably doubling the explorable space in TFOL (not including the infinite walk in the field lol)

Super exciting to have these crossed off the list! The rest of the locations (because there will be more through Act 4.5/5) will be large and intricate and a lot of work, but those can be introduced room by room, month to month or so. It'll also be a lot less hush hush, and I can share a lot of the WIP!

Aside from a couple smaller assets, and the final animated sex scenes, I've finished every asset for Act 4, AND I've been pushing ahead with some assets for act 4.5 (it's like, an Act 5 prologue), Like the image above! (or below for Subscribestar). I've been cooking up some fun activities for the player to do while spending time in these new locations!

-OH, just forgot, in theory I'll need to have the credits sequence and some assets for that. Might be what I'll be doodling while resting the hand!

The likely plan for builds so for:
So this isn't quite "2ish months from now!" But it should be a, "2 BUILDS from now!" Well, 2 after the one we're gonna release soon. So 3 I guess.

Resting my thumb is definitely gonna slow down some stuff, and there's still a ton programming wise that needs to get figured out for stuff like public Act 3 release and what not. So the timing might just kinda work out? I dunno we'll see.

OK that's it! See ya guys!

Oof, those splints are going to make handiwork *super* painful and difficult. Obviously you only have one (set of) hand(s), so make sure to do what the therapists tell you; keep that thumb still and NO MASTURB—pfft. nope. Still can't say that with a straight face. SLOW DOWN on it, then. 🥰 But seriously, if you do need to keep your thumb still, you shouldn't worry about getting more art done in the meantime, just heal up!
