I hope you've all played the 0.4 update and can give us a bit of feedback (in case you haven't, you can download it from this post here). So here's the question:
How do you rate the 0.4 release (Myrtle's story)?

Also very nice touch with the clothing option! Honestly this is just the best game ever! and I can't wait to see what happens next! Thank you for all the good work!!

Love the art style which plays a good trick on the eyes making me thing I'm looking at 3D rendered characters, love the SFX and background sounds to depict the locations. I also love the humour and how some of the main scenes are presented. I would love it even more if it has some voice acted lines from the characters and if that's asking for too much because of the numbers of characters in the game, then having voice acted sex scenes instead. Looking forward to more main story content. Great job.

We've got elves, talking trees, pixies, magic, and until recently, someone I was certain was either a vampire or succubus. Werewolves could totally exist.

2021-02-22 18:54:51 +0000 UTCGood stuff! Things that didn't work for me (and I recognize this is totally just my personal preference!): - "Pretty" as a pet name. This is very much a personal thing, but I've heard "beautiful", "gorgeous", and "sexy" as nicknames, but for whatever reason, "pretty" seemed odd. - Myrtle's innocent prudishness. Particularly because there are two different paths that it teased: 1) Prudish on the surface, but secretly way kinkier/hornier than she lets on (so we get to discover how kinky she is), or 2) Innocent, but gets "corrupted". I would have liked either of those, but they're somewhat at odds with one another. Instead, the arc did a little of both, which was actually less satisfying to me than if it had picked one or the other. - A couple of typos here and there. I wish I'd noted them... darn, I guess I'll have to play through again to spot them. 😜 But there's lots in here I liked: - LOTS of great sex scenes. I loved the moments when Myrtle started talking dirty. I wish Holly's arc had included as many scenes! - Sleeping in her bed! - Having Myrtle develop as a toy-crafter--what an awesome use of her skills! - Myrtle being interested in Rose. Yes, please! I *really* liked the section where the main character suggested to Myrtle that they fantasize together about Rose, and was disappointed Myrtle didn't go with it. Something to look forward to... - Myrtle being accepting of a harem path. I know that's probably a given at this point, given how the game is set up, but still, I appreciate it. Hopes for the future: - That threesome with Rose can't come fast enough. - I'm excited that the next update will focus on Lana--definitely hoping for some sex scenes with her. - Zooming out to the huge overworld map reminded me that this game has SO MUCH room to grow, holy shit. I'm excited for what WaL will become. 😁 Nice work, MagicNuts. Thank you!

Then there are games where the sex scenes are part of the plot, a natural conclusion or continuation of the storyline. WaL is definitely in the latter camp and is all the better for it.

I can see how much effort went into this update, but I still am a bit disheartened on how long it will take to finish the game. Looking even at the old capital map, we have so many places that aren't even in the game. And that's just one location on the WORLD map. Gonna require patience.

2021-02-20 00:26:10 +0000 UTCBest update so far, I think it really solidified you guys as the dev's that can bring adult games to that next level, and I mean that honestly. The insane level of detail and polish that goes into your game is on a whole other level. The art is simply the best 2d art out there, yes that’s obviously my opinion but one I think many people share. As WaL’s popularity grows it will spawn new developers who will use your work as inspiration and try to match or even exceed what you guys have done here, and that’s just a good thing for adult games in general. I personally think the heavy focus on one or two girls or story elements is the right way to go; yes you will always have people disappointed because their favorite girl didn’t get any new content, but overall I think it allows you to tell a better story for each individual character. The sexiest thing about this update is the pacing and the slow progression of content with Myrtle, the buildup to the sexy scenes is as hot or in some cases hotter than the sex scene itself. But that’s just my 2 cents, and as the game progresses it won’t matter as every girl will eventually be fleshed out.

I loved the development of the relationship between the MC and Myrtle as it evolved. Also it was a great contrast with the Holly arc. The two women were in vastly different places with their sexual and emotional experience and so had different reactions to the MC's attentions. That's great because they feel like act use characters rather than cut scene rewards for completing quests. Keep up the good work.

I like the flyover view with the characters pinned like a map for long traversal, the Think method of puzzle solving and dialogue. I can’t wait to get in the castle and to other parts of the map 👍 Is hentea a nod to Oppai?

Played the scene when it first appeared when it was dark outside and I had turned the lights off. Nearly jumped out of my chair when I heard it growl. Loved the development of the relationship between Myrtle and the MC, how he helps and supports her to gain confidence and how she later saves him. Hammerdick was just a hysterical funny villain. Owned the scenes he was in. Hope to see more of him in the future!!! Well done. Can’t wait for the next update!!!
