What do we mean by 'improvements'
Added 2022-06-09 20:57:16 +0000 UTCHi everybody. Here's a short (under 1min) video I made yesterday to show you all what we mean when we say we're at the improvement stage of the update.
Here we got a scene showing the MC and Rose in the state of falling, and you can see it before and after the improvements.
A few points:
- The animation seen here is far simpler than what we do for the sex scenes (fewer frames per loop). And I only spent about 3 hours on this overall.
- The artwork wasn't designed to be animated, so I had to use Photoshop and spend a while breaking it up and preparing it (Chestnut says I should have recorded those stages as well to show the real work, but I didn't think about it).
- The particle effect was originally planned, but later I thought it was unnecessary. After going through it yesterday, I think it was definitely needed to make it look like the characters were falling and not merely floating in the air.
- This scene will be on the screen for maybe three or four clicks, but we like adding these little things to make everything look and feel polished.
